No Update to Case after Verbal Approval

Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum and need help about my doubt.

Background:

I came as a F1 to USA in 2010 and then filed for AOS in May'13 based on USC wife. We had AOS interview at Fairfax VA office yesterday and it was really a simple one. IO only asked Q&A from Application. she ask how we met and said we are approved and we should receive well come letter and Green card in 2-3 week from yesterday. Though we didn't get any letter saying that i have been approved. She took my I-94 and educated us about ROC procedure and Citizenship application after 3 years from now.

My questions is this: Looking at above situation, It looks like she had no issue with our case and she approved it. But Case status hasn't been changed online since yesterday. LUD is still same as what it was before the interview. So i just wanted to confirm if this is a normal thing?

Normally how long does it takes to see the online update on case status once AOS interview was approved verbally?

I would really appreciate any help.

Some take a few hours, some take weeks/months.

If it goes longer than 30 days, schedule an infopass.

Just try and put it out of your mind and it'll happen when it happens - which according to your interview should be fine.

Oh and the i-130 took much longer to update online than the i-485.

Thank you very much everyone for help. Today i got an email from USCIS that I485 and I130 has been approved and card has been ordered.
