Medical Examination (Dr Ian Zatzman) - What To Bring?

Hey again,

My medical exam with Dr Ian is in 4 days and I'm getting extremely nervous about the whole thing, as I've had quite a few complications along the way. I never received Packet 4 (along with my "interview letter"), even though the DoS told me they sent it out. I then tried emailing Montreal, asking for an email copy-- but only received an email copy of Packet 4 itself (which is already readily available online).. but no interview letter. I do however have a print-out of my interview details that I booked online, however there's no MTL# on the print-out which is what I think they're looking for.

I voiced my concern to the receptionist at Dr Ian's office, but she said as long as I have my MTL# then I'll be fine (NOA2?). Somehow I don't feel eased by that answer though.

On Dr Ian's site, it says to bring the following:

------------

- $300 CAD (Cash only)

- Appointment letter or other instructions that you received from the U.S. Government or your legal adviser that show your alien/case number. (Would bringing in a copy of my NOA2 suffice?)

- 4 Passport photo's

- Immunization record and documentation

- Photo I.D (Would passport suffice?)

- Birth Certificate of any child involved (Should I just bring mine anyways?)

- Documentation of Medical History

------------

Other than a proper appointment letter, I've gathered all of the things above. But still don't feel like I'm not seeing the whole picture. I read this recent review of Dr Ian Zatzman, and they seem to have done things differently. (Only 1 passport photo-- exact currency for certain parts of the procedure)

So, so stressed. sad.png

hi

Was wondering how the medical went with zatzman? Can you let me know what questions were asked etc? I know a blood test is taken for syphilis and chest screen for tb but is anything else tested? What about other STDs?

Thx in advance

i just had my medical on Thursday (with Dr. Lyndon, but I assume the process is very similar). Here's what happened:

- I arrived, the receptionist asked for my passport and my vaccination history, which she photocopied

- She asked me to fill out a form that included basic information like my name, address, MTL #, date of interview etc.

- She sent me to get blood work and xray done

- They drew one vial of blood

- I waited to see Dr. Lyndon

- He asked me why I was planning on immigrating, made small talk

- he told me the xray was to check for TB and the blood test was to check for syphilis (and nothing else)

- he asked me some medical questions "Are you a generally healthy person? Do you take any medication? Any major surgeries?"

- he took my blood pressure

That was it. It was easy. :D

About how long were you there?

Honestly, I got there way too early, so I ended up being there longer than I needed to. There was a full waiting room of people, so it took longer than I expected. My appointment was 1 and I was out of there by 2:15.
