Trust me on this one. :-P CO feel comfortable on issuing visa to female than male. They do say they promote gender equality and all but my personal experience with them says differently.

somebody, my case is also in AP. whats do u think can it take several months or year i am female my husband is u.s citizen .AP time is very furstrated ..

I am myself stuck in AP so trust me, I know how frustrating it is.

Your case, AP times are really unpredictable. I don't want to give you false hope or anything. Just keep your fingers crossed.

My personal advice for people facing AP is just not to think about it too much. It will only cause depression. Start studying or job or any activity that you would have done if this visa was not pending. It's good to keep your mind off from this and let the time pass. There is literally nothing you can do to fasten up the case. Me, myself I am on internship thingy, and it keeps my mind off this frustrating thing but when I get off days, I feel depressed and frustrated because of the free time to think about it.

I m female and i m in AP from 5 months 12 days

and CO told me the same that u will get visa in a week

When was your interview cindrella?

I never said all females get their visa right away but most of them do just like my aunt got hers today.

I have seen cases like this. Do expect issues like that from Islamabad Embassy. You know, as reply to my email, they told me that there is no AP pending on my case and me and two other family members need to apply for visa. I emailed them back to clarify that, but they never replied again. CEAC website clearly says my case is in AP so I know it was again an error just like with your case but of different nature and yeah, I am waiting.

DOS said that pending is they are making their decision and regular is still background checks? I am not sure, someone correct me if I am wrong.

At the time of interview, CO told us, our case is good and he is approving visa for all family. Three members of family, however, were given visa on spot and rest three were put in AP, saying it need some administrative processing from their behalf.

So as per your two categories, I'll say they have made their decision but doing background checks.

somebody and kamraan,

what is ur case creation date in online status and what is ur last update date?

Kamraan got her visa, yesterday.

Case creation date really doesn't matter, because in family based immigration, they can be as old as in year 2000 while in spouse category they are relatively new.

Last update was on Sept 2013. That update was as a result of my inquiry though they never replied my inquiry.
