When will Kiev Embassy send Packet 3? Does new electronic DS-160 on-line change this process?

Help......... confused a little and don't want to mess up upcoming interview:

Received a letter dated 26-Dec from Kiev Embassy that acknowledges they received Packet from NVC.

On-line completed the DS-160 electronic which was submitted on 22-Dec

Have now scheduled an appointment for a Medical exam on 13 January in Kiev and the Kiev Embassy Interview appointment was scheduled on-line is set for 15 January.

  1. When should we receive the Packet 3?
  2. Will it be by carrier or by email?
  3. How much time will it take for Embassy to process packet 3 and send out Packet 4 (that acknowledges the Interview appointment? (I have the printed DS 160 Appointment Conformation.)
  4. If not at home when an attempt is made to deliver Packet 3 will a note be left on door or in the mailbox?
  5. Or should we not expect to see packet 3 (meaning that DS-160 electronic form replaces packet 3 and Packet 4)?

Please let me know how confident you are in your answers, I am not looking for opinions, I need factual information.

THANKS!

Kiev does not have any packet 3/4. The only thing they send is a letter that tells you to go to their site and get all the info you need there. You do not need this letter, but you seem to have got it already anyways. My fiancee received this letter after we already passed the interview.

Detailed info and all the forms you need are here:

http://ukraine.usembassy.gov/visa-forms.html

They will not send you any interview confirmation. After you pay and schedule interview on the site, you just need to print out the confirmation page and bring it to the interview.
