<<<<Humans have a primeval fear of things they do not know - hence the term 'phobia',>>>>

Do you even know what a "phobia" is?

-phobiacomb. formextreme or irrational fear or dislike of a specified thing or group: arachnophobia | Russophobia.

See this is why you are hood winking so easily by the latest "study" put out.

Irrational fears are a result of primeval fears, oftentimes. The most common example, the fear of darkness many have.

Homophobia can be considered a primeval fear of that which one doesn't know or understand which, as the study suggests, creates or is the result of an inexplicable attraction to the object of one's fear. It is nothing to be ashamed of. It is just the way humans are wired.

First of all, (and I know this is tuff) you must weed out the "opinions" of the ...opinion piece.

On the bright side, we have made progress: Typically you blame the source when I post something, I guess using a Liberal take on the News of the day has you at least reading it.

(I see progress)

Danno, nothing in the piece you posted supports your ridiculous, bigoted and homophobic "predictions". Nothing at all. You're still in the dark about that because you just aren't capable of comprehending what you're reading. It's a handicap of yours and you'll have to live with that. As you have to live with your bigotry.

Blah blah blah,

You suggested "fear of the unknown" was a phobia.

Words have meanings.

I did not suggest it. I stated that 'fear of the unknown' is a type of phobia.

If you have access to the internet, consider going to www.google.com and entering the word 'xenophobia' in the search window. You will be surprised to learn what it means. Indeed, words have meaning. If you are a book person, consider investing in a recent edition of the Merriam-Webster dictionary and having it handy, for reference.

pho·bianoun \ˈfō-bē-ə\

: an extremely strong dislike or fear of someone or something

Judging from your posts here, this describes your situation with teh gheys quite perfectly, Danno.

Words do indeed have meaning. Role and roll are very different words with very different meanings yet you continue to use them interchangeably even in the same sentence or paragraph.

While I do thank you for your spell-check service (really) I did note that you ventured into name calling which I believe is a breech of TOS.

If you can call me a homophobe what name someone call you?

If you can't discuss an issue without personally attacking people, go to a milder subject.

Well of course any time a person challenges a thought or idea..... he must by default be obsessed or full of hate.

Bro, these Saul Alinsky tactics work on some..... not on Danno.

I think Danno is one of them. He just can't get himself to admit it.

I always find it odd that Liberals get so worked up if anyone dares imply anything negative about Gays, but the second they want to insult someone they imply they are gay.

I support Gay rights, not hypocrites. So what if Danno is gay..Why would that be so negative to you?

There's a difference between challenging a thought or idea and being a bigoted sob. What you did in the OP does not point to the former.

Have I said that that's negative? Don't recall that I have. Just pointing out the obvious. No judgement from me.

Danno i don't agree with you on Gay rights, but as for the insults. That is the only way they know how to debate a topic. Sad really. Shows lack of critical thinking skills. Soldier on man.

Odd isn't it that on a subject they call you bigoted on, they make great insult and yuck factor out of calling you one, while at the same time screaming there is nothing wrong with being one.

If they truly thought homosexuality was perfectly normal, they would not think calling you one was an insult.

Silly liberals just can't emotionally come to grips with their beliefs.

Who said implying someone is gay is an insult? It's only insulting if you find something wrong with being homosexual, no?

Anyway, Danno, please explain your picture choice. I'm dying to hear an explanation as to why you thought of all pictures, this one was appropriate to attach to an article about abuse in the military.
