Humans have a primeval fear of things they do not know - hence the term 'phobia', and in some cases, acting on a particular phobia is the result of some deep set curiosity or desire. I disagree with you. I don't think that allowing women and gays in the military created an atmosphere that compelled straight men to sexually assault other straight men, as you suggest. The copy you posted contradicts that, in fact.
