My family and I moved from Canada to the UK about 7 years ago. I've had my Canadian passport renewed quite awhile back and there's about 6 months left before it expires, so there are no pages showing my stamp of entry into the UK. However there is a Indefinite Leave to Remain Stamp within the passport. Ive read that Canadians do not need a visa to enter the US. Ive tried to fill out a ds160 form to set an appointment date with a US embassy but my issuing country of citizenship is not listed there. I've also tried to fill out a ESTA form but again my issuing country of citizenship is not listed there. I plan to go on holiday to Olympia, Washington for 2 weeks in March. What do I do? Will customs give me a hassle or even worse...Send me back?

Here you go: http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/without/without_1260.html

And: http://canada.usembassy.gov/visas/information-for-canadians.html

You don't need a visa or ESTA if you have a valid Canadian passport (and obviously are not inadmissible as a tourist for some other reason).

You may have a problem with your passport expiring soon, however. I think the US usually wants to see at least 6 months validity on a passport on entry.

Thanks for replying. I just saw my passport again (havent seen it in ages lol) From the point of the holiday to the expiry date I have 7 months. But as a Canadian whose been living overseas for awhile do you not think I still require some sort of Visa?

Nope. Not unless you fit one of the exceptions that need visas here: http://canada.usembassy.gov/visas/information-for-canadians/canadians-requiring-visas.html

Note the bit towards the end about passport type and validity.
