Hello,

I had my visa interview on 30th December 2013 at the US embassy in London, but unfortunately the Visa Officer after verifying my application issued a 221g white form and asked me to email my CV, employment letter of support and I797 to petitionslondon@state.gov for additional administrative processing. The VO even said that my application was credible. I immediately contacted my company's attorney and she said that it was very common to face this situation especially if one is not going for stamping in home country (India). I had no other choice but to go to London for stamping as my entire family was in London to celebrate a family event.

I didn't expect 221g as I was a full-time employee with my company and this was my 2nd job after graduation, and luckily I didn't have to fake my experience for them to suspect my application.

Could someone let me know if they faced the same situation in London in 2013? Also what are the current waiting times for 221g in London? My current status in the pdf file shows as pending. I have my return ticket for the US booked for Jan 12th 2013 and I am wondering if there's any way that I can get everything solved by then.

Thank you - Krishna
