Ds-160 Question

Hello Everyone.Thanks once more for your contribution so far since we started our Fiance visa Journey.I just received my packet 3 instruction from the Finland Consulate and it shows that i have to submit the DS-160 form online.After reading some information online, it shows that i have to upload a digital photo when filling the form.Please those who have used this form of recent should tell me if it is compulsory to upload the photo and if they took their own digital photo personally or went to a digital studio to do that and get the soft copy to be uploaded.i just want to make sure i have all the requirements before i start filling the form.Thanks

Can someone with some experience kindly respond to this question? I am having the same issue too. Is it mandatory to upload a photo on the ds 160? Thanks Guys.

If you go to its either the USCIS website or CEAC website they do have a link showing the rules of the picture that the picture has to be taken within the last 6 months. I believe it has to be like a passport picture taken in back of a white or off white backround. You can just load a picture into your computer. _No smile, just a relaxed face. No hats either unless it is a religious costume.
