I called USCIS just a while ago, and talked to a Tier 2 Officer. I stressed out that I still do not have my biometric appointment letter, while most applicants of the same period as mine (priority date 01/14/14) already got interview dates. According to him, the bio appointment was supposed to be entered on their system last 01/20/14, but apparently, no date and time is shown. I have a feeling somebody did not do his/her job right (adding to my frustration). He contacted the Service Center again (paging Orlando), citing that my case is already out of the normal timeline and a bio appointment should be done as soon as possible. This means - I have to wait for another 2 weeks for the Service Center to act on his request. This is getting crazy. Sigh.

Sorry about what you're going through. Do you live within a reasonable driving distance of your local field office? If so, I'd recommend making an InfoPass appointment (or simply showing up as a walk-in) before you're due to hear back from your service request.

Good luck!

It is about an hours drive. I will probably do it if I have not gotten anything after the 2 weeks.

same for us unfortunately!

I'm in NY too. There are people in the city who filed in December and are still in line for an interview ... I see a long wait ahead of us.

Glad something's being done rather than just being told to wait again ... hope this fixes it

We are on the same boat. :-(

Hi folks!

I am writing on behalf of my mom, who sent her application back in January. To this day she is still waiting for her biometrics appointment. She sent an e-request but nothing.

I feel somewhat relieved that she is not alone in this and that there are those who filed in January STILL WAITING for their biometrics to be done. We will try to call the USCIS tomorrow morning and we are ready to be on hold for hours.

Do you think this has something to do with the amount of applications USCIS receives from Houston, Texas? I applied for my naturalization in November and I live in Kansas and the process was easy and quick. I am now an American citizen four months after filing my N400. I was hoping it would be as quick for my mom.

Any advice will be appreciated!

My status online changed to : On March 31, 2014, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was placed in line for interview scheduling. When scheduling is complete, you will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview. If you have not received the notice within 90 days of the date above.

It was placed in line for interview last Feburary 27., and they placed in line for interview changed to March 31.. does it means more waiting time? aaarrghh... anyone has experienced like this case?

Hi there, I am a Jan Filer and I did not get my biometric yet until today!!! I received my receipt number on the 1/24/2014 and didn't see any biometric sent to me. I am panicking now. Called them and they ask me to wait. What is going on? I see people sending March and they are getting their biometric done.
