We received NOA a week later indicating dates 01/08/2014 as priority date and received date.

Check was cashed on 01/13/2014.

Till date we have not received BIO date.. should we call in USCIS or make infopass appointment? Can someone advise.. or should we wait.. We are residing in Long Island, NY and mailed documents to Dallas, TX facility. I am assuming my field office is Long Island Based. Please advise.

Same boat, here Jimmy. We still have not received the biometrics date for my mom. It has been close to two months for us. I was thinking of asking mom to call them once we reach the two month (60 day) mark since the NOA.

I filed an e-request using the USCIS website by the way, too. I received an email that they will review my mom's case and send us an update by March 24, 2014. Hopefully, that wakes up my mom's file from beneath the bunch of other files.

check your case status, if it says biometrics letter sent. Then make an appointment and see whats going on. If it says that no bometrics letter is sent, then make an appointment and see whats going on too.

Why both are the same answer:

First situation: Some people waited for the biometrics letter for two long and then found out that they missed their appointment.

Second situation: Your file is stuck somewhere and you have to let them know you are concerned so they can help you figure it out.

"On March 3, 2014, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was scheduled for interview. You will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview. If you have not received the notice within 30 days of the date the notice is mailed, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance."

Great I'll update once I receive the actual letter. I was wondering if I will also receive the yellow letter that some people have been mentioning.

i got the same notice this morning... but within 90 days for me not 30 days though.

Oct 11 Paid AOS fee

Nov 3 AOS and IV Package Sent

Nov 6 Scan Date

DEC 31 CASE COMPLETE

Feb 5 - Interview @ 615 am (cancelled due to sputum test)

Jan 20-21 medical

Feb 3-5 Sputum Test

April 17 interview @ US Embassy - PASSED

June 30 TOUCHDOWN NY WITH ME AND MY KIDS....

i got the same notice this morning... but within 90 days for me not 30 days though.

yeah we have the same update, we are still placed in line for interview scheduling, while the others are 'scheduled for an interview' already,,its ok hopefully we will have more updates this wk

Received a yellow letter requesting to bring driver license to the interview. Is that means interview will be scheduled soon?

I don't think it means anything. Some people get the yellow letter, some people don't. I didn't get one. You will get a separate letter with the actual scheduling of your interview. Just make sure to bring everything they tell you to bring in the yellow letter as well as the actual interview letter.

Timeline:

2005-04-14: met online

2005-09-03: met in person

2007-02-26: filed for K-1

2007-03-19: K-1 approved

2007-06-11: K-1 in hand

2007-07-03: arrived in USA

2007-07-21: got married, yay!

2007-07-28: applied for green card

2008-02-19: conditional green card in hand

2010-01-05: applied for removal of conditions

2010-06-14: 10-year green card in hand

2013-11-19: applied for US citizenship

2014-02-10: became a US citizen

2014-02-22: applied for US passport

2014-03-14: received US passport
