Hello,

I was unable to find anything on the toronto.usconsulate.gov website regarding DCF for IR-1 / CR-1 Visa

Does Toronto office or any other office in Canada allow DCF?

Did any of the rules change in 2014?

Thanks!

Only a few countries now allow DCF. You can find the list here: http://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/international-immigration-offices Unfortunately, Canada is no longer on the list. You'll have to send it to the Chicago lockbox.

If the petitioner is living in Canada though and uses that address on the I-130 and G-325A, they could be fast-tracked at USCIS and have their petition adjudicated sooner (than those petitioners living in the US).

It's just hearsay. There is no official statement on this.

That would be so cool! Of course we haven't even been transferred yet, but I would be so glad if we did get through a little quicker. US and Canada are supposed to be friends, so I think they ought to let me come over and play (and live, and work, etc)!

my question is ...... my husband hasnt had his passport stamped to go over to america yet cause we were waiting on paper work,, and theres a question on 1-130 number 14 relative side is your relative living in America well my husband isnt so that means we go to consulate when the forms go thru and then it asks on 22

is your relative Completed if living in United States or if not eligible for adjustment of status.... now Im understanding that is part for people who have stayed over there.... my husband hasnt , we dont have a stamp on his passport because we have been waiting for his crimial waiver because he had a record over 20 years ago and to avoid being blocked for it. We just applied for it lst .. and we just recieved his waiver , and because I put him on my taxes this year .. they want the passport verification for to add him on my taxes and the same day we recieived the waiver we went to verifiy that .. and they kept the passport for two weeks (in canada) to verify it so we are waiting for that now and I have my paperwork ready to send in and it asks about if not living in country what is the closest Consulate which i was told was Toronto and while looking on this visa journey page . I found Toronto doesnt do 1-130 and we are told we can pay the 485 adjustment of status when we get the next package after 1-130 close to Consulate interview .That we will receive that package next .. after 1=130 and to start it first ... dont know which place we can go to now .. to write on the number 22 is it Ottowa ?his nearest ... and my second part of question because now he can go across the border. why wouldnt they do it Detroit .. ? My husband lives in Windsor and thrid part is also because he isnt living in America hes lives in Canda we seem not to need to put down the information on the stamp for question 14 only if he is living over there...???????

I dont know if i need to change the name I put on my paper cause I dont want to type it again Im sure they will tell us where any way its to hard for me to figure how to write and ask things on here... but Im going to keep tring
