Ditto! Mine arrived today, dated 30th Dec as well.

Looks like we're on similar timelines :)

As luck would have it packet 3 and my LDN came today in the post (Saturday 4 Jan) The letter is dated 30 Dec so took a few days to get here.

Will now book my medical on Monday.

They must have got a batch out at the same time.

Great News!!

Now you have fun on the online DS form, says takes 1hr 20 mins to complete. Its really involved (not that we have any choice).

Loads of help on here if you sruggle with answer the questions.

Keep in touch let me know how your timelines progress, expect we will be similar.

Yah, I started it yesterday, I have a lot of the answers as I did my husband's ILR & naturalisation a couple of months ago and have been keeping a log of my us exits/entrances, but it's definitely involved.

Need my police certificate to come now, and also my GP helpfully had ZERO vaccination records for me, so I'm having to have them ALL again = fun times!!!!!

When are you hoping to get out there?

Filed the DS2001 today, when I get the medical time tomorrow I will send back the email readiness form and then its just making sure all our docs are copied and ready for the interview when we finally get our date. Luckily I applied for my police certificate a few weeks ago only takes 10 days so not that long a wait. (You will need this to take to your medical)

I have chased my GP for my immunisation records (have to call back in a few days) if they can not be found I will try and get my GP to do them again and document as its going to be cheaper than the Knightbridge Doc.

Loads to do we have to sell our UK home and car so once we get approval and we are good to go we have 6 months that's the time we start selling everything we own.

Expect JFK NY to be the point of entry for us maybe sometime in Aug or Sept 2014.

Our family in NY are more impatient than we are...but we are glad its finally moving and we can see a light at the end of tunnel.

Keep in touch let me know how it goes.

Wait, I thought the 2001 is no longer in use? I'm completing the DS-260. Then I'll book medical on Monday & then do the Email readiness form.

I'm doing priority for my Police Certificate, and I don't mind paying for extra stuff at Knightsbridge as I'm expensing everything.

Just so you two know, they've replaced the DS-2001 with an online form. On the instruction page on the embassy website, read down the right hand column and follow the "read more" link after the bit about notifying the IV unit.

http://london.usembassy.gov/ds2001.html

You really have to double read everything on that page, because they seem to make an effort to hide things (you don't even "email" them - you submit a form). :/

Thanks Lost at sea, I'm good :) Ds 260 all done, medical will be booked on monday and can do the "E-mail readiness form" which is NOT AN EMAIL AT ALL BUT A TRICKSY ONLINE FORM :)

Just freaking out at the following

- Zero vaccination records, so I'm going to have multiple jabs - Thanks NHS

- Bit worried as just had a baby, then spent 6 months eating nothing but chocolate & ice cream. Hope I don't fail the medical! I'm not circus fat, but I am a chubster right now :(

- Husband files taxes electronically, so only has turbo tax print outs (*sigh*)

- Waiting on BoA to send some original statements for his account to prove domicile

- Husband's HR department need to get a letter together as we're using his income to for the i-864 (he's transferring to US arm of international company and wages will continue)

You would think I'd be more organised whilst waiting for LDN, but christmas set me back a bit!

Cools. Just wanted to check.

Anyway - don't freak out. At least you probably have time to get your jabs done for free at your local GP's, and I don't think anyone has ever been denied a visa for a bit of baby weight. smile.png

If you're worried about the turbo tax things (I don't know much about US tax yet, but that rings a bell - I think that's what Nich-Nick uses), order IRS tax receipts instead. They're free, IIRC, but might take a little while to make it to you in the UK. You can use them instead of using whole tax returns: http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Order-a-Transcript

Much appreciated, I'm a pro at UK immigration and know nothing about US immi :( Always could do with someone making sure I'm on track.

My GP is nice, but the nurse is just really mean & she does all the injections :( I'd rather pay more money and get them done at Knightsbridge (not really :P )

Just made the boy go request the IRS tax receipts, awesome, he can get them sent to his mum & couriered over.

I think we have enough domicile stuff, he got his state driving license renewed in May, he's voted every year, paid his student loans every month & kept his bank accounts up, as well as filing taxes. We might have a rental house sorted out by the time the interview comes along as well.

Stupid baby fat, I blame the baby, little freeloader :)

Filed: Country: United Kingdom
Timeline

I'm glad both of you got your letters. Now I'm sure mine must have been lost in the post as it's week 12 now and still nothing. I sent an email last Friday, so hopefully I'll hear back soon. If not, I don't know what to do or who to call. Thanks for posting what your next steps are, I can get moving on some of those things while I wait.

Timeline for DCF London:

I-130 sent Sept 19

NOA1 not received

NOA 2 received Nov 5
(With approval date of Oct 17)

Packet 3 'arrival' Jan 13
(Our packet allegedly got lost in the post. After several emails,
I received an email with our LND number in lieu of a packet in the mail)

Completed DS-260 Feb 4

Medical booked on Feb 5 for Feb 7

E-mailed NOA Readiness Feb 5

Packet 4 arrival Feb 26

Interview March 26

Visa granted March 26

DS-260 subbed

Medical booked

Readiness Form Sent off

OMG IT'S ACTUALLY HAPPENING

Really sorry you're experiencing this Sunshine. Here's my timeline if it helps at all -

My petition was subbed start of November, received email notice November 7th

i-130 approval was December 5th (4 weeks, to the day!)

LDN number 4th Jan (dated 30th Dec) ( so 4 weeks again, give or take a day)

Medical booked for Mid-Jan.

Hoping to be out in the US in March, but we'll see :)

Yay!

Can you fill those dates out on your timeline? We don't get many DCF filers, so the data is always a bit lacking in that area - so the more people who actually do their timelines, the better. It would be super nice of you.
