For Those Who Expedited

Hi all

I'm curious as to what your petitioner said when they requested for the expedite after the typhoon? We just recently submitted our I130 and my husband wants to expedite ours because I have family who were affected by the typhoon and he's paranoid that the next typhoon might be where I'm at and will affect me the same way. I told him that I don't think we have a chance to get approved for that but he insists on trying.

I don't even know where to begin. So he calls the hotline, asks for supervisor and then request for the expedite? Where can we send the supporting documents and evidences to strengthen our request?

I think she is still in the uscis stage. Call uscis and request for expedite due to typhoon, no need to speak to a supervisor.

My husband did that today and we got a request confirmation number. We have our fingers crossed though I'm not really expecting much.

I think our request got approved but the woman on the phone got our address wrong so my husband will call them back tomorrow to correct it.

Will they be sending a hard copy for that as well? We still haven't received the hard copy of our NOA1 and we got the email for that last 12/19. We're so anxious about the hard copies. My husband checks the mailbox everyday twice a day.

I also called and applied for an expedite request. I really didn't have to state any reasons.

They gave me a confirmation number over the phone.

I eventually received a hardcopy of my request with a confirmation number. Does that mean that they accepted my request?

If so, then what happens next?

When I called it was before the statement they made about expediting on the USCIS website. My phone lost power (18 days no elec, my motorbike was my charging source)) before the representative could get back to me (said wait 30 seconds). I got an email the next day stating they were reviewing the case. One thing I noticed after rereading the statement is that it mentioned I-130 filers would be given interviews after the normal backlog was taken care of, did not mention K1 cases...I'm still a ways off, NVC is reviewing my request to expedite still.

Yes. Skipping NVC process. Pay all fees and present all docs during interview
