question about getting the medical and police clearance as soon as possible

Right now, my case is still at the NOA1 stage, so as soon as it is approved I'll have all my docs ready to send to the NVC. I know that most people here call in to get their case number and invoice as soon as they get their approval notice email, so they can start to send in their AOS paperwork, even before they get the official NOA2 instructions.

What about the medical and police clearance? I don't know about other countries, but I did some research on my country (Hong Kong) and it states that for us to request a police clearance and medical paperwork, we need to have document from immigration.

Instead of waiting for hard copy instructions, is there a way to get those documents ahead of time?

Hi, Semi. No, unfortunately the Hong Kong police require the official "letter" requiring a Police Clearance. I lived in Hong Kong for six years, and during that time I was applying for an Australian Permanent Resident Visa (like the US green card). Like you, I wanted to pre-load the work as much as possible, but even though I showed up at the Police Office in Wan Chai, they turned me away until Australia issued the demand letter.
