Hi everyone,

Let me start off by wishing everyone a happy new year!

After going over other people's timelines, I feel my wait has been going on for a rather long time. As you can see in my signature below, I filled for adjustment from F1 on June 4th, received EAD card on August 22nd but have not heard anything since. My case status is still on "Testing and Interview".

From your past experiences, do you consider the timing to be usual/unusual? Should I be calling USCIS about it?

Adjustment of Status F1 Visa to Conditional Green Card

June 4th, 2013 - Filled for Adjustment of Status (F1 to Green Card).

June 5th, 2013 - USCIS received petition.

June 10th, 2013 - Received USCIS Acceptance Notification via text message and email.

July 10th, 2013 - Biometrics appointment.

August 22nd, 2013 - Received EAD card

July 31st, 2014 - Interview at Miami office - APPROVED

August 22nd, 2014 - Green Card received

Removal of Condition

May 11th, 2016 - Mailed out I-751 application

May 13th, 2016 - USCIS received I-751 application

My pd is may172013 got transfer notice on 12-12-2013 still waiting! !!!!!!!!!! I guess its normal I now lot of other people waiting for 7 or more months! !!!!!!!!!! Happy new year to you as well GOOD LUCK

Tampa is a busy office, so it takes a bit longer, based on what I've seen here.

08/23/2013 - Package Mailed

08/25/2013 - Package delivered
08/29/2013 - Email/text notifications received
09/03/2013 - NOA hard copies received

09/09/2013 - Biometric appointment letter received
09/23/2013 - Biometrics appointment (completed)

10/01/2013 - status online changed to "Testing and Interview"

10/28/2013 - EAD in production
11/06/2013 - EAD received
11/08/2013 - Interview/Approved with RFE for long form birth certificate

12/03/2013 - sent in birth certificate

12/14/2013 - got notification green card in production
12/24/2013 - Green card

Seems it's normal in your area...in my area it would be abnormal...or at least I can only "judge" from our timings where we filed on the 3rd of September and had the interview on the 3rd of November (approved on the spot) and by the 12th of November the GC was sitting in the mail already. But seems like your area is busy, so I wish you luck and patience! :)

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I am so sorry you have been waiting this long. We are in Miami too, and have been at "Testing and Interview" for almost three months now. Miami offices seem to be really busy and the waits for interviews is long. So to answer your question, it is usual for Miami, but unusual for the rest of the country.

PS.

If you have been waiting since June, that means we have at least an additional two months of wait time before we get an interview.

I will get interview notice in 3 days

If you call the 800 number they tell you the same thing that you can see on case status...... So it's best to talk to someone face to face

Did you get your interview yet?

Not yet. Was told that offices in our area (Miami, FL) are still processing applications from May 2013...so more a less a month away from setting an interview date.

Adjustment of Status F1 Visa to Conditional Green Card

June 10th, 2013 - Received USCIS Acceptance Notification via text message and email.
