Any help please. Me and my newly wife will be expecting to have an interview for the greencard after our I-485 paperwork is submitted to the USCIS. Can anyone who possibly has gone through the interview for the greencard give me some idea what to expect such as type of questions they would be asking. I am not concerned but would appreciate maybe a heads up

Also, when called in for the interview, will they interview just my wife who is the beneficiary, or interview me or will they interview us both and are we interviewed in separate areas.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thank you kindly

Ron

There is about a 50% chance that you will be approved for the green card without an interview when adjusting from a K-1. If you do get an interview, you both attend, and you both go in together. They may ask about how and when you met and other relationship questions pertaining to before and after your marriage. If you have an interview, take evidence of co-mingling of finances and co-habitation. The interviews are usually short and painless.

K1 usually does not require an interview for the AOS.

Incorrect, it is a 50/50 chance whether your case is given an interview - regardless of being K1 or not.

Not sure what you mean by 'regardless of being K-1 or not' because not everyone that files for adjustment of status gets approved without interview. Most require and have an interview, such as those that entered the US with visa types other than a K-1, married and then filed to adjust status. So yes, it is about a 50/50 chance not to interview, IF you are adjusting from a K-1.
