Hi,

I am trying fillout the DS-230 form but I am confused on a question 32. Do you intense to work in the US? if yes please provide employer name and address. My finacee once she comes to US of course she will want to work but at this point she would not know where to work. If anyone has filled out before please give me some guidence.

DS-230 question 32 is "Have you ever been refused admission to the United States at a port-of-entry?"

Do you mean form DS-156?

If you intend to work put yes and put "WITH WORK AUTHORIZATION, EMPLOYER UNKNOWN"

Also use the online DS-156 it generates a special bar code that containes everything entered into the form that the consular officer at the embassy or consulate can scan, and everything on the form will then be entered into their system. It prevents data entry errors.

What Atif put down was only with USCIS apporval...worked just fiine.

I was told to check "No" for question 32 on DS-156 and to answer "No specific intention to work" same answer for question 33 and "No specific intention to study". Checking yes would be contridictory of your intention of coming to the US and the answer to question 27 "To be with and marry my fiance"

Answering no to the question will not prevent you from working.

Your timeline says the consulate just received your case on the 26th (Tuesday). You haven't received pack 3 already have you? Did you just get a copy of the form?

No My fiancee has not received package 3 yet. I have sent an email asking the HCM US consulate if my fiancee can come by and pick up the package but I have not heard back from them. No I did not get any copy of the form. I have filled out the forms online(DS-230, DS-156) and planned to bring them back on my Jan 14, 07 trip to Vietnam.

I have reviewed the sample forms from the above link. On question 36 " Has anyone ever filed a pertition on your behalf?" I thought the answer would be yes. Since I am applying on her behalf.
