St Lukes advised to be 2 weeks prior to the interview. Women especially have problems with the schedule as to when exactly to go due to the menstrual period. If you have a monthly period they can't conduct any medical exam, but rather they will ask you to come back a week after your period. I had an interview schedule of Nov 7 and I had my medical Nov 4 and 5. Medical was successul. Had the inerview and got my passport after around 5 days... Good luck!

My interview sched is on feb 2nd week and my question is when should i go to manila for medical?

Embassy recommends 5-7 days before the interview date. It doesn't matter if you do it a few weeks early either..

You are most welcome. No need for Stool exam. Urinary, Physical, Vitals, Xray ( drinking a lot of water would help ) and the last that you have to go through on the first day would be vaccination interview ( don't worry they will tell you what vaccination to give you based on their questions to you like, if you have any vaccinations before or did you get bit by dogs or.. cats before.. those kind of stuff... and then they will ask you to come back the next day for the vaccination...

I suggest you go there early. That way, you finish early... I got there later than I had planned. I got there 8 am and finish at 1 pm ( first day ). Do the same thing on the 2nd day. They will give you time when to go back but I suggest you to be there earlier than the time they would give you. It's a long wait than the first day.. lol... goofy.gif

Where are you coming from? Here is the link where you can make online registration before you go to St Luke's. They have a different line for those who registered online. http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/index.php Don't foregt to bring that with you together with the email that NVC sent you about your interview date at the embassy... These two are very important.. goofy.gif

I did mine a month earlier. If I did it 7 days earlier than my interview, I would have been screwed because the physician asked me to get my medical records from the hospital where I was confined 6 years ago for acid reflux. hospital staff told me it's gonna take them 2 weeks to find my records. If I were you, I'd do it 3 to 4 weeks earlier as well but then again if you are 100% certain that you won't encounter a little mishap like I did, you can do it a week before your interview.

Wow, that's totally different and amazed me about US visa application for beneficiaries from Indonesia. I had my medical exam December 31 st, 2013. Since I already done a few times medical exam for my work, I thought would just follow what previous clinics requirement from my prior experience.

I had fasting 8 hours before medical exam, drinking a lot water, coconut water a month from my date appointment. Turned out, they did not do urine test for US visa application, laughing.gif . And then I asked her, " nurse, can I go to bathroom now? I was waiting for a few hours to do that because I thought will get urine test". I was like," Gosh, wish I ask her when I just came in to the clinic, tongue.png".

No stool exam. Disappointing huh? JK! LOL! Also, make sure you take note of this:

To avoid delays, applicants who have their menstrual period may choose to reschedule their appointment for one week after the last day of their period.

I live in davao city. Its almost 2 hours plane ride from here to manila. Thanks for the info !

Whew! I used to live in Cebu... Wish they have accredited hospital in Visayan Region for the medical prior to the interview. Did you have any surgeries before? Days before I went to St Luke's I got a copy of the hospital records when I had my ligation done, just to make sure in case they ask for it. But in my case, they didn't ask the hospital record even when I informed them about the ligation. Just make sure you have the copies of those two docs with you. And also, on the Visa photo that the hospital require to bring, make sure you were not wearing sleeveless, they don't accept it. I hope this helps...

I was confined last may 2012 when i gave birth to our son.i underwent cesarian section. So does it mean i need to ask the hospital for my medical record that i had c-section? Ithought i just need to bring the appointment letter from nvc when i go to st. Luke's?
