are you kidding? Only report her is she's killer, drug dealer or abuser??? He isn't bitter because his wife's petition isn't approved yet, he's pissed because these people continue to break the law, I'd be pissed and want to report her too, and my husband has been here a long time. She is here illegally, drives illegally,,has no drivers insurance( so when she hits and injures someone then what?), she refuses to file her DACA papers so she can stay legally, and instead chooses to marry. US citizen because it's easier for her. We have laws for a reason, she has chosen to break many, this country has already given her a way to stay legally and she won't take the time to file the papers. Just because the laws she broke aren't violent, they are still laws and she needs to be deported. You say people should think before they do something, what about this woman who hasn't given a single thought into doing things legally, does she not count in your little equation of what is right and wrong? You really shouldn't push your religious convictions on others, not everyone believes in your god, not everyone believes in god at all. Just because the bible says something, doesn't make it so.

Kudos to the OP, I think you have don't the right and moral thing. So tired of hearing illegal people complain that we are being unfair to them. Whats unfair about expecting people to do things legally? Laws are laws, they aren't made to be bent or broken when it's convenient for you.

Oh well, everybody is entitled to his / her opinion and I respect yours and others. Peace ! and God bless you.

If I make an FDNS report, will she find out that I was the one who informed on her? I doubt she would even know how to make an acussation against me, her English sucks and she is not too savy about the immigration system at all, but I do not want to expose me or my wife to retaliation.

Gather as much evidence as you can and report her.

She's been given plenty of opportunities to become legal but she just blows them off and instead opts to commit fraud. Plus she puts people at risk whenever she gets behind the steering wheel. The fact that she's been caught driving without a license and insurance means that she's been pulled over and you won't get pulled over unless you break road rules which is essentially putting people at risk.

I have to say, I'm a little surprised and sad at the attitude of some of the people on this forum. It also makes me fear for my safety.

Regardless of what OP's reasons are for wanting to report her, he is doing the right thing, reporting a law breaker. Like I said before, usually the government does not look into these things unless they are given reasonable cause. This is why you have so many people abusing the SNAP and Section 8 programs. They have no reason to fear that they will be caught/punished because they know that their caseworker has no reason to look into whether they are selling foodstamps or have an extra person living with them. Unless he tips them off, she's off the hook.

Not only that, but her behaviour is reckless! Since she's not a citizen, she doesn't have insurance. What happens if she causes an accident? What kind of taxes is she paying into the system, what kind of health care is she getting? Is she making it harder for hard-working Americans and legal residents to make a living?

The only thing I have to say to the OP is, when you make your report, stick to facts and evidence. Don't bring personal qualms into this.

Out of curiosity, has anyone on VJ successfully reported fraud?

It is a historical fact that all 13 of the original colonies that founded this country were English-speaking. The natives, unfortunately, did not found this country.

That's not actually true. NJ and NY were Dutch colonies first There were give to England in exchange for Surinam. (It was a complicated situation.) There are still a lot of place in NJ and NY that have Dutch names, and in fact, up until about 100 years ago there were people speaking Dutch or a dialect of Dutch in this area. There were other colonies here from other countries as well. The English just took them over time, but most of the people stayed here and were still speaking their native languages.

Hurray! All my Dutch history lessons finally have paid off!

(Just as an aside.)

English has been the official language of the US for a long time. Every immigrant group dealt with learning English. The Dutch, German, Italian, Polish. They all adapted to English. It seems there is now are groups either too stupid or lazy or disrespectful to be bothered with learning English and because we have lost our universal backbone as a country we roll over and waste money on providing school books and signage in unofficial languages. I doubt if I moved to Greece I would be able to insist they hire Enlish speaking teachers and books to school my children.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Nope, they wouldn't--you would have to hire an expensive tutor or homeschool.

Actually, there is no "official language' of the US.

Actually, I don't think the U.S has English as its 'National Official Language'. American English is the language most commonly spoken, but federally, English is not 'Official' - in fact, I don't think the U.S has one...

OP, firstly, I understand your frustrations. However, I think your desire to report fraud has more to do with your personal qualms with the system, rather than her being here illegally and committing marriage fraud and so I do not think this is a good basis for you to report. I also feel it's not good thinking for a New Year's Day! I'm seriously more concerned that she is driving without insurance and risking other people's lives than the marriage fraud part. Could you report that? I suppose I feel that you are reporting her almost out of spite - and I do not think that is good for your health or spirit. Would it really make you feel better if you reported her? Also, you don't have facts or proof - some people just talk ####### or make off-handed comments - do you know her whole story? Also, why are you living with her?! Did you not know any of this? I would tread very carefully.

True, but why is one of the requirements to become a USC the ability to read, write, and speak the English language? Maybe not a law, but it is a requirement. Also, Colorado has a constitutional amendment past in the 1980's that made English the official state language, yet you can take the driver's license written test in Spanish. I had to go to the state of Washington to find a Russian version of the driving rules for my wife to help her understand the English version. Yes, she took the written test in English and passed with a 100%. Off-Topic2.gif .

OP: AS I stated before, if you have proof then submit that and report her. If you currently have no proof then get some and then report her. DO not waste the USCIS' time by reporting her without physical proof. The last thing you want to get into is a "she said", "he said" with her--get undeniable physical proof. If she remarries her ex I am sure the USCIS will question her at length, but you never know. Get proof and then report her.
