I'd suggest try calling again later tonight. I wasn't able to give my email addresses over right away either, but when I called later that evening, I was able to!

Right as usual, Saylin I just called and was able to hand over e-mail addresses. Now it's another few days of waiting for that online portal to be ready for us!

this is so strange how they are working on January 6 while the NVC received my checklist respeonce on january 2 ????? when did the NVC received your AOS and the IV and scanned it into the system?

Finally got case # today! I knew something was different as soon as the NVC operator asked me for beneficiary's name. Every other time, as soon as I gave them my receipt #, they would say "this case was received in the building. blah blah blah" So hooray!

Apparently, it's not processed far enough for them to want our e-mails yet - will call tomorrow to try and do that. But got case # and IIN #. Now to go back and read posts 1 & 2

Why is the NVC taking one month to assign case numbers and IIN? I thought this part of the process was supposed to be quicker.. This is getting really frustrating. I have called every day and some days twice a day. Same old stupid government response of 10-20 business days or 2-4 weeks. I thought this entire process would be less than a year for a born us citizen like me, but I guess the US government does not really care for it's own citizens and their families... UGH!!!!

Our case was recevied in the Bldg. on Jan.13,same as you guys..and we are still waiting too..I wish we would hear something soon!

Nope they don't care about the "born USC's". They do however care about who they think might vote for them in the next election!

Prior internal tracking system was much faster.

Current internal tracking system is pig-dog-slow.

my wife has paid $88 fees on 26 dec but it still display in process status. Although i (benificery) has received the DS-261 form and point my wife USC as choice of agent . when the status will show paid ?

that's abysmally slow, 26 DEC 2013 to today.

something is wrong, call into NVC, see what's up.

call the bank, see if the transaction cleared out already.

status usually show paid 48 to 72 hours after clicking the button.

Saylin for the medical should there be any vaccines my wife would need. She's lived in canada her entire life "she's 25" and received all of the required vaccines in ontario. I would assume she's all set as it can't be that much different than the US

If she's like most Canadians who've received the required vaccines, then she probably won't need any. I didn't. I just needed the flu shot as it was flu season (although, everywhere I had looked online, flu season was over, but not according to the panel physician *still pi$$ed off about it*).

To confirm though, check the list of required vaccines here for someone who's 25: http://www.panelphysicians.com/Pages/Age6.htm (only 4 required, including the flu shot since it's flu season at the moment).

HI Saylin!

We paid the AOS fee on January 16th and it was cashed on January 21st. Today when we logged in online, status shows 'paid' for AOS. My question is, how long would it take for the IV fees to show up? We' re planning to wait until the IV fees are paid before we send in the AOS and IV packets. Is this a good idea? Or should we send in the AOS packets now?
