For the I-864W, there's different qualifications. The first question on the form asks why you're exempt. Depending on what you answer, you may have to provide documentation (as stated in the instructions of the forms).

If the cases are joined, you'll still need to provide a separate I-864 form for each (obviously, as the form is asking about one specific person. If there's two children in your case, they'll each need their own). And if you qualify for the I-864W, tax transcripts aren't needed. Please go back and read the instructions for this form.

If he filed jointly with his wife, then they only have one set of tax transcripts. It's not like it's different for either of them. But, he will need to include his W2s if they filed jointly as it only shows combined income on the transcripts.

hey saylin sorry i keep bothering but you are very knowledgeable

so as i was saying my friend is our joint sponsor, he filled 2010,2011 single , 2012 joint with his wife, so he needs his W2 from 2012 correct? and also since he is married , how much is he supposed to make to qualify so that i can clarify that to him..and is it a 864 for him and anotherone for her since they filled jointly and most likely 2013 will also be joint? and finally im a med student, i ordered my las 3 years transcript and this coming tax year i dont have income excep the crazy amount in loans that the school gives me back.. so should i include a school letter or something?

sorry saylin again my apologies

Call up USCIS to confirm the case was indeed sent out. Also, keep in mind, the package may be sitting in the mail room at NVC. It'll only show up in the operators' system once the case has been scanned, which can take awhile.

No, not all those vaccines are needed. The vaccines required are dependent upon the age of the applicant. Check out this link (http://www.panelphysicians.com/Pages/Immunizations.htm) and choose his age from the list. That'll show you what's needed (be careful and read everything as some items may still not be required).

You don't download the screenshots (unless you want to pay for them, as I heard they're not free). You simply look at the screenshots on your computer using the little toolbar they have.

Time frames for interview dates differ by country. You need to do YOUR own research. I have a case number, but the person who i was speaking with on the phone said he doesn't have IIN for me yet. Is this normal, because i was reading on here how we need to call and ask for CN and IIN.

Call again, some operators just throw a fuss about giving out IIN and BIN.

Read Post 1 carefully; you will save yourself a lot of time it gives you step by step instructions.

Hi Matt,

My wife is in Canada also were close to same timeline. We got approved from texas service center on dec 13. They finally sent our application on Jan 7. NVC received it Jan 14 and as of now they still havent logged it in . This process is crazy...... You are looking at a min of 2 weeks to get the ball rolling with the NVC case numbers probably more like 3-5 weeks. Good luck and join the waiting club...

boarder

Wow that is really depressing. We were hoping that everything would start moving along after we go approved. So we probably won't see an interview until May?

Then that's how she should write her name on the forms and that is how her visa and then green card will come.

My uncertainty is whether her maiden name can be considered as one of her "given" names on the DS-260. She gave it to herself?

going through the Ds-260 screenshots to see what questions they ask..

Q. Have you ever been issued a US Visa?

I have travelled to US more than 5 times but since i have a canadian passport, all i get is just stamp on my passport Does that technically qualify for a Visa? because it then asks Visa classification, Visa number etc..

confused what to put in there,, "Yes" i have been issued a visa or "No"?

No, that's not a visa at all. Stamp =/= visa.
