Thank you for your immediate response.yes.gif Yes, I will include that..

Do you know what specific scanner app is that?idea9dv.gif I downloaded this "TinyScan" on my iphone but I am not sure if it scans clearly.idea9dv.gif

I'm really not sure. Just read the reviews and ratings of the apps you see and download the free ones or lite versions since you're only scanning one document. You'll eventually find one that will produce a scanned version that you think is good enough. Just be sure to scan it in good lighting and avoid shadows.

Just got the "This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted…" message when I tried to log on to the payment portal. I have seen in Saylins guide that this is actually good news as this message appears when they are invoicing a bill but why oh why do they have to have such a damning error code?? Why can't it be something random like error message 54u8044!

When I first saw this my heard sank! They love playing with our emotions dont they!?

My case was approved on Dec31 and sent Jan 6 just called again and the lady said that they have still not recieved my case? Is it because the NSC hasen't actually sent out my case or they just have not processed it?

Another question will my husband need to get all of these vaccinations??? If so I should go have him check his bloodwork now to see ig he does indeed have them

Congrats!!!.. but why it took so long???

Oh it's a long story, rofl.gif

Basically, it was a combination of everything. Our I-130 was approved ridiculously fast at USCIS and forwarded on to the NVC and we did not have time to gather all the necessary documents. Then I was laid off and switched job so our AOS package had to be sent several times. My husband had trouble getting some required docs for his IV package and he lived in several different countries which all required police certificates and took time to process.

Happy that it's all behind us now. It's been a crazy year laughing.gif

I am the petitioner.

First off, the bar-coded cover sheet goes on top of everything else.

If you're submitting tax transcripts, there's no need to submit the entire tax return. The whole point of the tax transcript is to avoid sending in all those pages of the tax return.

And which is the main joint sponsor? They should be submitting an I-864. Their spouse is then submitting an I-864a. And again, no need for tax returns for them either. Just include their W2s to show their own income from the tax transcript.

Thank you so much Saylin! :)

Ok, so I'm filling out the I-864, and I'm at Part 4 which is information about me, the sponsor. I've been in India on a spousal visa since last April and intend to stay until we get official word that hubby's interview date has been set. At which time, I will head back to the states to re-establish domicile and start the job I've been making arrangements for.

I'm not going to lie on the I-864 and will put our address in India as my residence, my home in the US as my mailing address and US as my domicile, HOWEVER after reading some other people's past experiences...it sounds like this form is more or less reviewed on the date of interview regardless of the fact that its sent to NVC prior to it. Should I fill out a new I-864 upon returning to the states for my husband to carry to his interview? My original plan was to send him the letter of employment, my plane ticket stubs, copy of visa w/exit stamp & photo of me (w/date) in front of our town post office for him to carry to interview to confirm that I have re-established domicile.

Is that enough or should I send a new I-864?

Quick question regarding tax returns... My wife will be ready to submitt AOS in the next couple of days but she will not get her 2013 tax return until she recieves her W2s on the 31st Jan.

Does anyone know if the last three years will be 10,11,12 or 11,12,13 at the moment? if we have to wait for her to be able to do her 13 tax return that could push us back quite a bit!

Many thanks

I am in the same stage where you are right now and I read it in this forum or this thread somewhere that since you have until april 2014 to file 2013 tax returns, you can send 12 as the most recent one.

If he's been vaccinated, he'll need to bring records of it. If not, the appointed medical clinic/hospital will perform the blood tests and determine which vaccines he'll need. Only procedures and tests done by the the appointed facility will be accepted by the embassy and you may need your case number to schedule an appointment.

What's the current timeframe for Nvc to review packages now? I know they say 30 days.. But is there a backlog now or is it normal process times? Recently case complete? When did they receive your stuff? They got mine on January 9th.. I'm leaving for a 5 weeks trip to the USA next week and it would be pretty sweet to be done with this process before I leave..

Our IV invoice still won't show up an amount to be paid. I've already paid the AOS fee....waiting for the next one. I've never been in such a rush to spend money before!
