Ok I filled out the online I-864 AOS form and have already sent it in. I filled out the sections I thought I should, but the portions that didn't apply (like names of other family members, joint sponsors, etc) I did leave blank, because they did not apply.

Every other online form I've ever filed out in the last few years WILL TELL YOU with an error message if you need to be filling something, anything in that slot. I find it incredible that they would not tell you, in GREAT BIG BLACK LETTERS that you'd better fill every field or you're gonna get a checklist. It would seem to me that this would just be creating extra work and confusion for everyone concerned to NOT state this.

this is not an online form.

It's a PDF Fillable form.

Is very possible, instead, that you have some activex control properly set up on your computer,

that allows you to see the form in a web-browser.

Finally!!!! Case complete as of 1/16/2014! dancin5hr.gif

What you see in the instructions? I swear something was in there, about this.

dreck - never mind -the latest version instructions state this:

3.

Answer all questions fully and accurately. If an item is not applicable or the answer is “none,” leave the space blank

Darnell people were getting checklists without the none or n/a on the form and by leaving spots blank.

I wish NVC would use the USCIS rules.

In the past, I always suggested to fill in 0, NONE or N/A on the I-864. I am shocked today, to reread the @#$@ instructions and find it otherwise.

Sorry, this is too much of an anomoly (sp.) to let it go...

Daaarnit! I had scanned my documents in one PDF file prepping for sending the AOS, and they changed it on me! (maybe I'm behind in the times, or maybe it just changed, lol - for anyone else prepping their AOS that may have been putting them all into one PDF)

Group A: Electronic >> Email scanned forms and documents

If your case is processing as part of Group A (see Table 1 above), then you must submit all forms, civil documents, and financial evidence to the NVC by email. To submit by email, you must scan the document to create Portable Document Format (PDF) files. You must save each file with a name that includes your NVC case number, the full name of the applicant whose form or document was scanned, and the name of the form or document – below are examples of file naming

I did leave mine blank as per the instruction for I 864.

Some observations

The checklists other vj'ers have been getting for the empty space are :

Easy to miss fields are:

Part 4 12. I am currently on active duty in the US armed service.

Part 6 10. My current Annual Household Income

Part 8 Sponsors Contract ( Print Sponsor Name and Signature Fields).

We put "same" instead of leaving it blank or writing the same address again on part 3 #9, i hope they will consider it.

This whole blank or n/a thing is really making me paranoid :/

submit pay stubs and/or a letter from his employer to verify current income. You will not be able to use the I-864EZ as the above percentage does not show on a w2. You can add assets to the I-864 but remember you need 3x the assets to equal out.

Omg!I was waiting for my I130 case# when My husband received a notice yesterday from NVC that

We have received ur I129F approved petition from USCIS,and ur case wil b sent to the US embassy in islamabad,in the meantime ur spouse should visit ceac and fill DS160 to apply for a K visa!

My husband applied for I129F in sept2013.

I130 petition history:

Pd: 6th march

Transferred to Nebraska

NOA2: 13th dec

NVC case received: 11th jan

WHAT SHUD WE DO?? CALL NVC TO ASK FOR I130 CASE# OR FILL THE DS160???

Same thing happened to me...I got my I-130 case number assigned about a week later. The embassy will likely close the I-129f when they get word of the I-130....K3 will probably only get your spouse to the US only slightly earlier than the IR-1/Cr-1 at this point...we're just ignoring the communication re: the I-129f and pursuing the IR-1/Cr-1 visa.
