Triple check all your information and numbers. Nothing can be off (even if it is someone is still reading it and you may get a checklist.) Make sure all the information needed is there. Most checklists come from a) the I-864 being filled out incorrectly or b) lack of PCC in the IV. However some countries require the checklist from the NVC to even get the PCC.

I would for sure like to do EP. I am just still figuring it all out, thank you for pointing it out to me. I will read more about it.

No problem! good.gif

Ahh, I know! I was on there just a few days ago and noticed it was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. Had to go through all the NVC links in the first two posts and update them XD

Yes!! I noticed earlier this week. Pretty cool how they got it all tabbed instead of digging through 8 pages. If you look, some of the embassy websites got a facelift also. Not as dramatic as NVC...

Our petition was approved Jan 2, 2014, and was shipped to NVC Jan 3, 2014. We haven't receved any reply from NVC if they have it received already, nothing. So I asked my husband to call NVC last Friday, he said they just received it (what a coincidence), he said we have to wait for another 2 weeks for the case no. Another 2 weeks, hhmmm Lawyers who don't know what they are doing. If not visajourney, i have already wasted my money to send form DS-230 via fedex and go to the Police office for police record without any case number. Good I made some thinking on what to do first before I made any moves. Luckily my question was answered here abt the form. And I made a decision to call the police, what are the docs needed to get police record certificate. I sent an email to our lawyers (2lawyers joint in the company) regarding this last Thursday and no reply from them (embarrassed perhaps). People from Visa journey are more accurate. LOL

A BIG THANKS TO Saylin and the rest of VJ members. I wish you all good luck and all the best in our visa journey! smile.png

It wont work unless your country is eligible or required to do electronic processing, which the Ivory Coast is not. You must send the documents via postal mail or courier.

Just a little reminder you will be doing the online form DS-260 not the DS-230 paper form.

It does take about 2 weeks from the NVC received date to get the case numbers. (Your case arrived very fast.) I remember they received my case on March 6th (after approval on Feb 15th) and I didn't get the numbers until March 21st.

Keep in mind that may be 2 weeks of business days, not 2 weeks total. ;)

No problem at all, I did the same with my case, but I did call NVC about it, and the rep told me that they know how to work with the single and marriage names over there.

But doesn't affect you if you call and ask them about it.

Good Luck......
