Hi Jilly! I just got the same letter you did about the 129f being forwarded to the embassy. Have you recieved anything else? Has your hubby heard anything from his embassy? I'm a bit confused on what to do. It seems easier to go with the 130 as far as paperwork and so forth. I mean we've waited this long already. What's another month to have everything done. I don't really see it happening that much faster. What are your thoughts?

We are just ignoring the I-129f as now the case # has been assigned for the I-130 petition at NVC. Likely it would only get him here a month earlier now. He hasn't received any correspondence from the Mumbai Consulate...nor have they replied to my email inquiry regarding whether or not the case will be closed since the I-130 was already approved. Its my understanding it will basically just disappear after 12 months of inactivity, so we're just gonna focus on the IR-1/CR-1.

Yes we will be calling to verify but I cant call because it is too expensive and my wife will not be able to call until Monday now as she is tied up with work. I was only really looking for some short term reassurance or advice so this doesn't spoil my weekend.

Thanks

Skype plan for unlimited calls to the US is like 7 dollars a month.

I'm the beneficiary.

Also, just a quick question..I don't believe I saw it addressed in posts 1 & 2...just re-read but didn't see it. The bar-coded cover sheets....are we able to save these documents as like a pdf or something to the computer so we can print it at a later time? I don't have a printer at home and there for will need to put on a usb stick to have printed off elsewhere. That is an option, correct? I can't imagine them MAKING you print immediately with no other choices. Just double checking, so I can make appropriate plans.

You can e-mail it to yourself in PDF format immediately after making the payment. You can also e-mail it later from the payment portal.

I'm the beneficiary.

when logging in to the nvc payment portal

if'n he sees 3 fees for AOS,

then

the casefiles are not properly joined up, yet, at NVC. I suggest:

1. delay paying the AOS fee until they are joined up and

2. call NVC, get a supervisor, ask said supervisor to join up the casefiles.

thanks darnell!

for all i know, he has goin to pay AOS for us 3. this will save us $176.dancin5hr.gif

Greetings all

Where I obtain IV pdf ? My wife and I wanted to complete the forms in advance and send them at the requested time. Thanks in advance.

IV PDF, the DS-230, is predicated now by the DS-260

Similarly, the DS-3032 is predicated now by the DS-261

Both of these are 'online forms' - to be filled out online, no need for printing and submitting via postal mail into NVC.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

ya, we focus mostly on 'going fast' at NVC, shaving time.

Is rare to suggest to go slow, but with multiple casefiles at the same time? Is best to get them joined up. Sure, there's the reduction in fee on the AOS, but more importantly, the interview dates are all set together for the same day.

Omg i have the same exact problem with my dutch police certificate! I wrote my maiden name on the application form but after one month when i received it through mail, only my married name was written on it. I cant afford to wait another month to send in the IV package sad.png they havent emailed me back yet about the issue :/ im so worried

You can send what you have and see if they notice. If they do (and you still haven't received the new PCC), just request that they close your case and that you'll bring it to the interview.

Im planning to get my taiwan police clearance but i will used my maiden name.because when i was in taiwan ibwas single.. do you think its that ok?or will need to get with my married name?because i know they doesn't have any record on my married name..

That's fine. If you were single then, then it doesn't make sense to use your married name.
