Is anyone else not able to get through to customer support at NVC today? Its 9:45am EST on Friday and I get the message "Thank you for calling the National Visa Center. Assistance regarding an immigrant visa petition is not available at this time. If you wish to speak to a customer service representative please call back at a later time." #######? WHAT later time? Obviously not a snow storm since its not the "in-climate weather" message.

I know MLK day is Monday...are they taking a 4 day weekend?!? If so, thats ridiculous...NVC employees have the greatest gig ever...cushioned federal holidays AND snow days.

I just spoke to someone was on hold for almost 30 min he was so rude and just sorry we don't have your case yet u have to wait 8 weeks.... Oh really because I waited 10 months for an approval why not just wait another 8 weeks right... So rude!

i am sorry for you to get this rude person at the NVC...i dealt with these rude persons at the NVC but i just didn't give them that much attention i just kept focusing on the petition and i call twice to three times a day the NVC to check about my case but most of the time i got nice operators and they were excited to help...my thoughts for you is just neglect the rude operators and keep an eye on your case,

When the payment is received and/or when the money is taken out from your checking account. Dont wait for NVC's confirmation or anything like that its just gonna cause more delay. I just did my payment yesterday too so I'm guessing next week we can probably send our AOS package. smile.png

Make sure you double check....wait triple check before your send,,,smile.png. Also if possible have a different set of eyes check the form

Yes I will definitely check first before sending the package. I'm also planning to have it check with someone that have experience on filling up aos forms just to make sure. Thank you! :)

By the way I noticed on your timeline that you received rfe for your aos package. May I know what the rfe? Just wondering.. :)

These two are very easy to miss and I was check listed for missing them

Thank God for VJ! I logged in last night and got the termination notice, so I was happy! lol... if it wasn't for Saylin and this forum, I would have been freaking out, but now since I know, I am happy about it. We've completed the DS-261 but just waiting for AOS fee to appear as invoiced.

Is it usually a couple days after you get that termination notice that it becomes available?

I know, almost everyone I've spoken to at NVC seemed like they would rather be doing something else...complete with sighs of annoyance and tones that imply I am clearly annoying them. And I always try to sound happy and peppy when I speak to them. :-(

Log on to payment portal and go to your receipt page. You should see a link on the bottom that says "print document cover sheet".

I've had really friendly people for the most part, some more friendly than others. In the end its such a non issue, its not even worth posting about, and me replying to. Just focus on the tasks at hand, don't take things personal, just saying from my own experience.

It's recommended that you wait, some people just send it after they pay. I paid on Jan 15th and its still showing in process, it usually takes 3-4 business days.

Personal experience... A lot of you seem like are starting to get ready for submitting AOS or IV packages. Please read through all the posts. I recommend even going back 3 months of NVC threads and reading. 3 hours of reading might save you 20 days of replying to a checklist. It personally saved me from getting one. Just read and see what people got checklists for and do not make the same mistakes. If you happen to get a checklist, please share it so others will not.
