*DS-261, not DS-260

And the DS-261 has to be received, accepted, and then added to the casefile. After all that, it can still be a few days before the IV bill is invoiced. What's the status of your DS-261 when you call NVC?

I have not tried calling yet; perhaps on Friday if I still don't get invoiced.

Thanks yet again!

LIVAOS COMBINED FOR NEOPOST DS-1200 received today. AOS and IV paid and payment status show as "IN PROCESS".

Based on my case timeline, it seems NVC was unusually slow in my case. Does someone have concrete information on whether their workload has increased dramatically? I know several holidays fall in Nov/Dec period so that may be another reason, not to mention severe winter weather.

If someone is knowledgeable to answer this question, why was my lawyer able to pay both AOS and IV fees at the same time? From reviewing other's timeline, usually they happen in sequence.

Thank you friends!!

Saylin I need your help. I was looking at my IRS return transcript and there I see both adjusted gross and total income, which one do I use? I also read form 1040 not 1040ez on transcript so I am guessing total income, please correct me if I am wrong. Thank you.

I requested an expedite on 12/23/12 and received an email on 1/3/14 that it was accepted by the embassy. My question is for those that might have expedited on the NVC stage. How soon did you get an interview date?

My expedite was approved on Jan 10 and My hubby received his interview date today

But I didn't use 1040ez. I thought if you filed 1040 you are suppose to use total income and when you file 1040ez you have to use adjusted gross income.

Saylin, I'm not quite there yet, but I have two questions about required official documents for the lV package. You stated an original birth certificate and a certified copy. Two copies, one of each? and does the visa biographic page have to be certified ? I am unsure having read the link. Thanks.

Hello everyone! Im new to the NVC stage smile.png When the USCIS transfers the case to NVC do you receive an email stating this! How does one know?

Congrats!!! Make sure you read posts 1 and 2 in the topic. Unfortunately you will not receive a email or any correspondence when NVC receives your case. Sometimes it is fast and sometimes the service center sends them slowly. Some people say it was updated on the website. But for most of us you will have to call the NVC and give them your MSC receipt number to find out when they received it. (Then follow the steps in post 1 and 2) If it seems like a long wait then some people call a USCIS tier 2 representatives to find out when the case was "physically shipped" not just "shipped to the mail room".

Finished for now!!

NOA1 4-1-13

NOA2 11-14-13

NVC case # 12-9-13

Case complete 1-21-14

Interview 3-3-14

Visa Received 3-6-14
