hello, would like ask about my cr2 son immigrant visa, what was his requirement to submit in his iv package since he is 4 years old yet?...

we are done on AOS bill now and mailing the AOS package to NVC.

wondering if in the iv package, can the original copies just scanned it and print it then submit it to mail in the NVC accepted?

anyones idea is greatly appreciated. thanks ahead.

In his IV package is needed:

-photocopy of bio-data page of passport

-2 photographs

-original birth certificate (plus photocopy)

There may also be country-specific requirements that you should look into.

The birth certificate has to be an original/certified copies. You can't just send in a scan. It will NOT be accepted.

As Saylin (our sensei!) predicted, indeed the payment portal did correct itself and I was able to pay the $88 AOS fee just now. Saylin, you ROCK. :D

Now waiting for PAID to appear so I can send in the AOS packet.

Hi everyone, I just payed for the AOS fee and is in process and the coversheet they have on the payment portal does not have a barcode on it. How do I get the barcoded coversheet. Does it only become available once the payment is processed?

I was just reading thru old post on VJ and I saw someone mentioning Authorization for Release of Federal Tax Data form, do we have to submit that along with I-864?

Are you sure you clicked on the right thing? Unless they've changed things, it should have a bar-code on it. Maybe try on a different browser (such as IE)?

I have no idea what that is blink.png Definitely not needed. If it were, I would have mentioned it in the FAQ.

The bar code sheet is available immediately when you pay and you don't have to wait till your payment is processed... If your having trouble viewing it online, then there is a place to get it emailed it to you (That's what I did). It will be emailed to you in less than 30 min as a attachment, that you can open with adobe. Hopefully this helps Edited by TimandAna

Little tip paying and sending documents for you really pathic people like me that that believe one or two day wait is another day I can not have back.. This is my personal experience so may be different for others.

1. Check payment portal 3 or 4 times a day

2. Pay ASAP but make sure you enter your correct bank account and routing number (there has been nightmare stories of people not doing this)

3. Have the receipt and cover sheet emailed to you (for your records and able to print easier)

4. Check your bank account frequently (mine showed a ACH hold of funds which gave me the green light to submit my packages)

5. Soon as you see the funds removed from your account send the package overnight with tracking (The very next day the payment will show paid)

6. Check the tracking. (The day they sign for it... The system will show you sent mail for your case 2 days later and that is when the clock starts waiting for review)

Tip: People mailing overnight packages on Friday (They will not receive packages on Sat or Sun because they are closed!) Tell your mail carrier you want it delivered on Monday. (I put that as part of my instructions and guess mail carrier did not read the instructions and delivered both days Saturday and Monday)

The worst horror story I read was about this person that paid but did not have enough money in the bank. The person sent the package immediately after getting the cover sheet. The payment and package was rejected. Then the person went to pay again but the website would not let them. Then they had to contact NVC which contacted tech support. Short story: HUGE DELAY.... My advice is to make sure funds are in your account, use the correct bank account numbers, and ensure the payment is actually being taken out of your account before you submit the package.

It took us about two weeks to get ours assigned (check out signature for exact dates). I believe to get the medical in the UK you only need your case number, but it's different for other countries. So you can get it any time up to 5 business days before the interview. But it has to be at Knightsbridge Doctors in London. My husband is just going to wait until before the interview so he doesn't have to take two trips down to London, but if your husband lives nearby, go for it.

After the medical exam is complete, does the physician hand the sealed envelope to my husband, or does the physician send the medical exam review directly to the embassy. Anyone have any experience with the London embassy? Thanks for the reply.
