Hi,

I think I do not have the originals of birth & marriage certs on my hand. They are with my beneficiary. However, I have the signed original English translation of both the docs. Do I need original docs? or can I get my copies certified?

starting from which point of the year will the 2013 tax

transcript be required for the interview?

im assuming my interview will be in feb or march. will i

need it?

how does it work?

Is this Accurate?..3-4 Months? Oh My..this is CRAZY!..I hope it's not that long of a Process.

They tell you 1-2 months back when you submit I-130 and find out about the process. They don't tell you about the extra dead time spent waiting while packages sit in stacks; or cases and supporting documents sitting in the mail room for months at a time, before they're touched. So yes, at least 3-4 months. I was approved I-130 in November, and it's been over two months already, and my docs are just sitting at NVC in the mail room. Will probably be 2-3 months before my wife's here (after approval, we still have to wait for package to be sent to embassy, then wait for an appointment, then hope everything goes well there).

Unfortunately, no. My wife is from the Philippines and they don't allow EP yet. Yes, the waiting is very long. And USCIS taking 8-9 months instead of 3-5 months (CR-1) definitely didn't get us started on a good note. I know there are also still a lot of people that have same PD as my wife's case, or even earlier, that are still waiting on USCIS.

Alllrght! they finally received my case at NVC on to the next step of getting my invoice number, up to 20 days more I guess!

Only after the tax deadline on April 15, 2014 will 2013 tax information be required at NVC and at the interview.

You're using IE, right? If so, it still can be a bit before you can actually pay it. Just keep an eye out.

Gosh my payment portal just went to a red message above that said "This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted…"

Thank goodness for that info on the first page, Saylin, or I'd have passed out. This is a good sign, right? I've been checking both the payment portal and the IV sign in for days and days and this evening was the first change....red box with these words on both. I guess that means they're inputting data...ulp...right?

Yup, I'm guessing the AOS fee will be available soon as well as the DS-261. Keep an eye out!

I wil try again later or tomorrow..not really in a rush since my IV documents are not complete yet, still waiting for my PC from Netherlands, it's really taking forever! im kinda thinking of just sending the package without it and just write a letter stating i will bring it during the interview, just like what u suggested to others.. :/

Government websites are designed for IE and IE only. If they work in other browsers, it's a bonus for them, but the programmers don't bother checking if it works or not in other browsers, just IE. Which is why I suggest using IE for the payment portal and online forms.

And good luck. It's no guarantee they'll accept your request, but it's worth a shot.
