One more question, my husband has been working at the same company for the past 8 years, he has his recent pay stubbs and the tax documents he thinks that those two should be sufficient and no need for employment letter. Will it be a problem if we dont get the employment letter? Is it a must? It does say optional somewhere. Any thoughts?

Our i130 has already been approved, do we need to provide the original birth certificate of the Petitioner at NVC stage or during the interview???

You will have to send in original birth certificates along with other original civil documents to NVC.

Petitioner? Photocopy was required at I-130 submittal stage,

and is not required again at NVC or the IV Unit.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Nothing of the petitioner's documents will be needed at the NVC stage except for his financial stuff for the AOS. Be prepared though there is a lot of documents needed for the beneficiary/applicant and if you have not gotten all them yet hurry up to help speed things along smile.png

I researched this all over the internet. Yes, The I-864EZ instructions say it is not required unless specifically asked for. Basically what I found out is if you want a guarantee of no checklist on this item then include both. Some people send niether paystubs or employment letter and have no problems. Some people send pay stubs and still get a checklist. I have not read anywhere when someone has sent both pay stubs and employment letter and they have gotten a checklist for this item. What they require changes per person because everyone's situation is different.

Quick question.. Just called.. Lady said AOS completed and I have a checklist for my civil documents (which was sent out 1 day after AOS) but my mail for this hasn't been reviewed yet. Sooo do they email me this checklist? When do I get a copy? How long does it take?

i am wondering if you got told by the NVC operator of the date that AOS reviewed and accepted exactly.

If your pay stubs show your annual income then an employer letter isn't necessary. We sent only 6 months worth of pay stubs and no employer letter but my husband is an easily verified employee as he works for the government. An employer letter doesn't need to be long, just be on company letter head, state who you are, how long you've work there, your position, and your yearly salary. I still recommend pay stubs with an employer letter. Because anyone could write something up, so really pay stubs are the more credible evidence.

Nice! You need an "auto-response" like USCIS has, so that when people ask certain questions, your profile automatically just posts this. OR, you could have it 'auto-respond' twice a day, once in the morning, and once in the evening. LOL.

i am wondering if you got told by the NVC operator of the date that AOS reviewed and accepted exactly.

Well I had a long 8 hour drive last night so all I got to do was think think think and finally called them back... Asked a bunch of questions...

So my AOS did not have a checklist? No, only recieved it for your civil documents

So is my AOS completed? Yes, you do not need to do anything else with it

When will you review my civil documents? Please allow us 30 buisness days from reciept of mail to review it

Do I get a copy of this checklist or AOS complete? You will recieve a email in 3-5 buisness days

When will you send me emails for my case? You will recieve email in 3-5 buisness day if you have a checklist on your AOS or IV and also we are required to send you a email 1 month prior to interview.

Then she tells me to relax that she knows im anxious to be with my wife but my AOS was just completed Monday so it is fresh. I'm so glad NVC has more patience than NBC/USCIS...

Finished for now!!

Hi Everyone!

Please I need help. I have so much question about this whole NVC processing stuff. My case was shipped to NVC on Dec. 26, 2013. Up until now haven't receive it yet. crying.gif My question is..

1. How long do i have to wait for them to receive it?

2. Will get an email or mail to notify me they receive? Because I hired an atty for my case because i'm afraid I might do it wrong. Then he told me he will receive one but not me!?!? why is that?!?! ranting33va.gif

3. When do i pay the DS-260/261? The IV and AOS fees?

4. When will i send in my Income tax form, the birth certificate, the police clearance and all that..

5. If you can guesstimate? how long this whole thing will take to complete?

Please help me.. Im so lost.. THANK YOU in advance for ALL the help and response..
