@ Saylin

usually how many digits of case number and invoice number....Our case number consists of 13 digits and invoice number one....is it right or wrong, should i contact NVC to get it correct since we are still not able to sign in

Thanks in advancesmile.png

What do you mean invoice number one?

Case number is 13 digits

Invoice number is 8 digits

When did you get your case number? Or when was it put in the system?

Cause it takes 10-20 days from the day they put the case into the system for you to be able to log in.

hello, I have a question.. will the NVC notify us if they already receive our approved i130

Yes, usually via postal mail, 3 to 5 months after they receive it.

If you'd like to go fast, or at least go faster, please review the contents of the links put in post #1 here. Yer missing stuff about using a telephone.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Hi All!

I am not to the NVC stage yet but hopefully will be soon and trying to get my packets ready. I am confused (no surprise) about the IV packet. I have read the info on page 1 and many others as well. It seems the packets are being mailed by the sponsor (I am the USC) from the USA but I can't figure out how you include the DS 260 signed by the beneficiary (spouse out of country). Is my husband the only one who can complete the online DS260? If I can complete it for him, how does he sign it and then get to me in a timely manner? Or do he complete and mail the IV packet from abroad? So sorry, I don't know if I'm being a dunce or what! Trying to figure out who needs to keep the originals to send in with the packet.

Thanks for anyone who can clarify the muddy water! headbonk.gif

Saylin, Do you have any idea about getting PCC from India? Do we have to submit it with the IV packet or we can bring it for the interview later? I dont know if its true i heard only if you get visa they give an Exit letter from the Police stating that the person does not have any criminal records and ok for the person to leave the place. An Exit letter and PCC are same???

PCCs need to be included in the IV package. I've never heard of an exit letter before from India...

As another member said, the IIN is supposed to be 8 digits, not 1. Call NVC asap and ask for the IIN again.

Ok thanks< yeah I know about calling NVC or DOS but I don't know if I am in the position to do that. I am the beneficiary(my daughter and I) and my husband hired an atty., just curious if NVC will notify us or my husband or the atty.

Beneficiary can call NVC ;) And if you give over both you and your husband's email addresses once a case number is assigned, then NVC should email all three of you.

Hi, I'm checking in. I've been in NVC for over two years for personal reasons and I'm ready to get back to it. Happy New Year!!!

Welcome back! Make sure you read the first 2 posts carefully as a lot has changed in 2 years!

The DS-260 is an online form, so you obviously can't include it in the IV package. It's done online and should be completed by the beneficiary (as the form is all about them). The petitioner can help though and sign for them if they wish.

The IV package is mailed (or emailed if you're eligible), which includes the civil documents and passport photos. Please re-read everything from the first 2 posts.

offtopic45vn.gif Saylin, no new hair colors recently? I seem to remember when I first started visiting the forums, it was like, "what will she have this week?" tongue.pngOff-Topic2.gif

rofl.gif Sorry, I'm sticking with all blue at the moment ;) It'd be a pain in the @$$ now if I switched it up as I'd have to use a ton of bleach to go to any other color. I do miss having pink in my hair though :(

Quick Q...

I have paid AOS online and have the cover sheet for my AOS package. Can I send in all my documents now that I have the coversheet?

Technically, yes. But I suggest to at least wait for the payment to clear the bank account, just in case.
