Yes, the beneficiary can call. My husband never called NVC, it was just me (the beneficiary). Never had any problems.

Great. Is this the number for NVC (603) 334 0700? Any idea about the hold time? What are their work timings so that i can adjust my time and call them? Thanks

Yes, that's the number. Hold time varies depending when you call. I always called at 5pm EST and never waited longer than 5 minutes. I've also heard calling right when they open and later at night are good times as well. They're open from 7am-12am EST.

The amount you're supposed to use is dependent on what tax form was filed (1040 or 1040EZ). Please read the instructions on that question, it states right there exactly what you're supposed to do.

Another question if you don't mind, I know getting this error is a good thing: his case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately.

but how long does it usually take if anyone knows ?

Use the amount on the tax transcript not the tax return as the tax transcript is a summary by the IRS of the tax return and they've made any corrections (if necessary), so the tax transcript will have the correct amount.

It says on the tax transcript itself which form was filed.
