Has anyone else been able to pay the AOS/IV bill and not had the DS-261 be available? When I log in under the DS-261 link, it gives me my invoice information (which was finally available and I paid today!) but nothing about the DS-261. The box that comes up does say: "Please contact the National Visa Center, if you want to change the Agent/Attorney Name or Address Information on your case." So I'm wondering if they somehow have assumed I am the Agent through me talking to them on the phone or something? Or that they're changing the DS-261 process? Or perhaps it will become available later. (I just thought it was strange that I could pay the IV bill without having submitted a DS-261...)

I called the NVC about this and apparently they had an attorney on file for my case, which is bizarre since I don't have an attorney. He advised me to email the NVC and request that the attorney is removed, which I just did. I hope me paying the fees already don't mess anything up.

Hey guys,

I am confused about the PCC. Some people seem to take it to the interview while others send it in to NVC. How does it work?

You should send Original PCC with IV to the NVC and bring a photocopy at your interview.

IV package and AOS package reached the Nvc on the 8th last week according to fedex. What now? Just wait? Or call?

Call every day (or less often if you want).

I just got my paper work from home land security. This should have my numbers to start the process. I am not at home just got the papers how long do I have to respond

One year.

How long do they take from the time they received a packet to review it ? I called NVC today, they received my AOS packet on dec 27 2013, and IV packet is delivered today.

I have submitted everything at this point. just waiting... ClockWatch2.gif

Operators are saying 30 business days, but it's usually a bit quicker than that.

Same here, I have had case number for 2 weeks but can't do a darn thing with it.

As per your signature, NVC received your case on 12/09/2013. Can you tell me if you received letter in post stating case transferred or did you call the CSC?

Sorry. I meant to ask how did you get the information that NVC received your case. Was it through a letter or did you call them?

NVC doesn't send any correspondence when they receive your case. You have to call to find this out.

Saylin, our file was transferred to CSC and later approved. We receied the I-797 Notice of Action in the post. Do we get any more letters from CSC stating when they passed the file to NVC? We do have a lawyer dealing but he isnt of much help so far.

You don't get any letters to say it has shipped out. Some service centers send emails, but CSC does not. You can call USCIS to confirm if its been shipped out, or just call NVC to see if its arrived. I found the hold time shorter with NVC so I would call them.

Just call them and ask them if they have received anything? They will not send you any snail mail.

i have both my tax transcripts from the IRS and my W-2 and for 2012. The amount on my w-2 differs from my transcripts by like 22 cents. It looks like they rounded up? I have heard the amount has to be exact. So which one do i use?

Can the beneficiary call NVC or email them to get case no? Lawyer thinks it too early to chase NVC.

Yes, the beneficiary can call. My husband never called NVC, it was just me (the beneficiary). Never had any problems.

Use the amount from the tax transcripts as those are summaries based on reviewed tax returns by the IRS.

Not sure what you were planning on doing, but if you have the tax transcripts, you only need to send those. No need for the W2s (unless you filed jointly and need to show just your own income).
