NVC IV review stage requires a non expired PPC. Again if you do clear the NVC IV review before the PPC expires, chances are your police report might expire by the time of interview. In which case they will ask for a new one.

Might as well get a new one and send it along with your IV documents to begin with.

Good Luck

pob260 - Thank you

- Not expred while at IV

- Expired at interview if its in March.

- I take your advice and get new one. Just to be in safe side.

Our police report will expire in march 2014. Thats when or later our interview will possibily happen. Do I need to get a new one? That will mak the 1 year for police reoport sice we got it.

MAYBE ! If'n you finish up with NVC prior, and don't get a date set before that 1 year, plan on getting a new police report and submit it into the IV UNIT, on interview day.

Hi Saylin, can I ask about the police record. My husband work in madagascar. he's contact here is 5 months. after five months he will come home in the Philippines and renew his contract for another 5 months. Does he need to get a police clearance from madagascar.

if he's lived in a country for over 12 months then yes... sounds like it's 10 months so no.

what is the better option for ammeding the tax return for status? married filing seperately or jointly? husband ofcourse, not in US

At this point, if your spouse is not in the US, it'd be a lot easier if you did MFS as you won't need a bunch of extra paperwork. Then, you can always amend it again to MFJ once the beneficiary is in the US and has a SSN.

I would think no, but you may want to confirm with a few NVC operators to be sure. Or, if it's not too hard and doesn't take long, then you may want to consider getting one, just in case.

If it's still valid while at NVC, you'll be fine. But if it expires before the interview, then you'll need to get a new one.

Question on AOS

How do I know if Iam eligible for I-864ez.

I did get yes for all the question.

I wanted to make sure before I feel them in

Also does text needs to be in caps (capital)

Or regular small letters with first word in cap.

Let me know.

Thanks.

If you can say yes to the three criteria, then you're eligible...

We just used regular letters and not all capital letters. We had no issues.

Fyi saylin I really like the new image.. heehee

Thanks! I figured since a lot of people don't read the first two posts and I'm always saying 'read the first two posts', thought I'd make a handy image to use instead :) Plus, it gave me a reason to use Photoshop, which I enjoy laughing.gif

Saylin, Do you have any idea about getting PCC from India? Do we have to submit it with the IV packet or we can bring it for the interview later? I dont know if its true i heard only if you get visa they give an Exit letter from the Police stating that the person does not have any criminal records and ok for the person to leave the place. An Exit letter and PCC are same???
