My casefile shipped to NVC on Dec 26, 2013. Since January 2, 2014, I have been calling NVC everyday but still no case number assigned yet.

Furthermore, I was told that I have to wait till 8 weeks to generate the numbers, and another thing that puzzles me is that I was told that they haven't receive my casefile yet...secret7vf.gifprotest6wz.gif When I called service center about my casefile I got an answer " contact directly the department of state or NVC."

hi we have the same date of PD, Approval and Date of shipped to NVC...we still don't have case number yet.:(

So, does anyone from March 2013 filers heard anything from NVC recently?? Any interviews???? I haven't heard anything yet :(.

I'm from Indonesia (the beneficiary), and my husband is a USC.

USCIS

06/04/2011: Got married in Surabaya, Indonesia

03/10/2013: (Some time at these dates) Filed I-130 through a lawyer

03/25/2013: Priority date, NOA1

11/08/2013: Case was transferred to Texas Service Center

11/16/2013: Case update: "was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office."

11/25/2013: NOA2. Post Decision Activity: APPROVED (by Texas Service Center)

12/05/2013: Received NOA2 in the mail.

12/19/2013: "Shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing."

NVC

01/03/2014: NVC received our case work.

03/26/2014: Called NVC and they said that there's an error on the affidavit support and they didn't get copy of my passport. This case, I blame our lawyer.

the only thing that concerns me to delay the process once we got the numbers is the police clearance. My wife has to send this NVC letter to Singapore as one of the requirements to obtain one. That's why I want to get it as soon as possible. the sooner the betterbiggrin.png

I need an extra patience!!!! And my husband will call NVC more and more. We've been apart for more than a year because of this whole application. My husband is in the state, while I'm here waiting and taking care of our 2 year-old boy. And about Police Clearance, yeah .. I might get stuck with that. I still need to get China Police Clearance because I lived there more than a year (couple years ago). sad.png.

I am not a full time student, but my income will be $0 as I am unemployed, but I am ineligible for benefits. My Father is sponsoring. Are they going to request a letter about my unemployment as well? I can't imagine what I would put. I've just been in India for 8 months being a housewife and plan to return to the US in a month to find a job. If they want some proof of unemployment I'd rather start trying to arrange it now, than get a checklist.

i dont think u will need PROOF of unemployment.

All u need to do is, send in a letter stating that you are an unemployed housewife.. thats why u didnt file 2012 taxes.

December 21, 2012 - Went back in the Philippines for first anniversary.

June 11, 2013 - I-130 sent

June 17, 2013 - NOA1

November 21, 2013 - Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center

December 5, 2013 - I-130 approved via email

December 9, 2013 - receive hard copy of NOA2

receive email that case was shipped to NVC

January 6, 2014 - NVC received the case ( no case number yet )

January 29, 2014 - Receive case number, invoice and beneficiary ID number

February 7, 2014 - DS261 available online and submitted

The nvc guy told me i can only give them our email addresses once they have already assigned a case number.

08.24.2013 - got married in the Philippines!

09.25.2013 - NOA1 via email

11.18.2013 - requested expedite due to typhoon

12.02.2013 - CFO seminar

12.12.2013 - I-130 approved, NOA2 via email (never transferred); shipped to NVC

12.30.2013 - NVC received the case

01.06.2014 - requested expedite due to typhoon and PCS

01.08.2014 - Case # and IIN; submitted DS-261; NVC asked for 2 contact #s of beneficiary

I have great news......we got case complete at NVC yesterday!!!!!!dancin5hr.gif I'm so excited and now we are just waiting for interview to be scheduled!!!!!! Cant contain my excitement, I know others are having a hard time, and i feel for you because we have been there too. Everyone will get their turn. I really think it might be possible to be together for our one year Anniversary on March 15th!!! Fingers crossed!goofy.gif
