I just recieved the email stating that. So your saying I should call them. Ugh!!! I thought I was done with those fools! sad.png

Oh No.

You need to talk with an ISO, a Tier 2 Human, at USCIS, to inquire:

1. where is the casefile currently? and

2. what date did it actually leave a USCIS loading dock? and

3. when will that office finish up creating the A-File ?

Go Get Em, and Good Luck ! IME, creating the A-File is done after approval, and takes anywhere from 1 to 3 more weeks after approval, and is the primary reason your casefile (and my casefile) not leave USCIS the day it was approved.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

#######, so after sending the OPTIN email, I re-read the start of this thread, and now notice I sent the OPTIN email too early. What if anything should I do at this point? Just wait for the initial NVC email? It's only been at NVC in the system for a couple of days now.

Yup, wait. that's it, for now.

'initial nvc email' = AOS Fee Bill, and/or instructions on the DS-261

Does anyone know how long it takes for NVC to respond to a checklist? I received a checklist on 12/26/13 and responded to it the next day. They received it on 1/2/14. And they gave me the standard 30 business day response. Anyone know of having them look at those any sooner??

me and you are in the same boat i got a checklist from the NVC about the affidavit of support which i submitted on December 28 and the nvc got it on December 30 and they got it into the system on January 2 and i am waiting for them to complete the case hopefully...and from what i found out after searching for so long from each case and each member signature on visa journey i came to realize it defers from case to case as for teh time frame

Just got off the phone with NVC.

Good news is IV package has been approved yesterday.

Bad news...one mistake in AOS package in question 13a1..so checklist.

OH MAN :( if it wasnt for that mistake i would have had a case complete.

I JUST GOT MY CASE NUMBER!!!! AH! I'm just so excited! The lady was soooo nice, gave me all the numbers, IIN, BIN, the whole shabam!!! Off to OPTIN now!

Oh and to update incase anyone is around my time frame and calling... I got my NOA2 from CSC on Dec 4, arrived at NVC on Dec 16. Case number generated today (I've been calling every day)

I was so excited like you to get my case number but can't do anything with it?? Cant pay AOS or do online forms because it says not invoiced yet:(( Got my case number on the phone January 3rd??

got confused again reading things about AOS

husband became USC thru naturalization

for the AOS of mine (wife) - husband will fill out i-864 and i-864a for the joint sponsor (joint sponsor not in the same household as husband)

as for my 2 minor children ages 3 and 9 - husband will fie i-864w // does he need to include his tax return transcirpt?

arghh.. the more i read the more confuse i get.

It wont let me. I get this message when I try to log in to do so.
