I just recieved the email stating that. So your saying I should call them. Ugh!!! I thought I was done with those fools! sad.png

Sometimes there's a big difference on when they said they shipped it out and when it was actually shipped out.

Got confirmation that our file was received by NVC on December 24. But of course, between the Christmas holiday, the New Year's holiday, and then the weather issues, there have only been 4 or 5 actual working days since then. So not in the system yet, but I'm just going to keep calling every morning. I just put them on speakerphone while I'm getting ready in the morning.

I'm really hoping that the remainder of this process will take less than 4 months - previous applicants from Germany have taken anywhere from 4-12 months or longer at NVC, but looking at timelines carefully it seems like the people who took longest had large gaps between case arriving at NVC and paying the AOS or IV fees. So we're trying to make sure we have everything ready to go the second that they ask for it.

Anything else we should be doing while we wait?

ROUND 1:

11 Dec 2013 - NOA2
16 Dec 2013 - Hard copy NOA2 received
22 Jan 2014 - Received Case # and IIN from NVC - we're in the system!

21 Mar 2014 - CASE COMPLETE!! (received info by calling NVC on 24 March)

06 May 2014 - interview date

16 May 2014 - POE

ROUND 2: I-751 process - just getting started!

28 Apr 2016 - money order cashed

02 May 2016 - NOA1 received - phew!

Reread post I and 2

and then read again..:)

Scan the forums for all the checklist for AOS and IV.

Pay special attention when filling up AOS.

Gather all the necessary documents to be sent with AOS and IV packages. Check your embassy specific site for what documents they accept as well as for any additional documents that they may require.

If you have stayed anywhere for more than six months.. get police clearance from that country.

Good Luck.

offtopic45vn.gif Okay a PSA to help you:

Just an FYI to help some of you who are getting snippy, snarky mean operators at NVC.

Remember how we compkain no one on the other end unedsratnds what we are going through? Well here we are calling demanding information and look at what they are going through. I always got nice sweet people and even when one answered with a tone I always put in a how are you talked about the weather and thanked them for braving the elements to come to work to work on our cases. They were always appreciative and it showed them that I was at least keeping up with what they were going through.

Honey goes a long way. Butter them up. Ask how they are and how you so can't wait to show your love one the fun and cold and snow and whatnot. Ya know, Just saying.

Now if they are just too mean and nasty hang up try again.Off-Topic2.gif

Ok. Thanks Saylin. smile.png. What would we do without you?

Mine said shipped out for 30 days until I had to get a Tier 2 supervisor at USCIS who said ummm its sitting right here at CSC you want me to send it. 31 days of nothing.

Thank God for Darnell who told me the exact words to ask. When you call USCIS ask for a tier 2 supervisor and you ask

"when did my petition/casefile physically leave the service center".They document that. Many times that email people get is just the petition going to a storage landing until many other petitions get bundled up with it and it sits. USCIS has gone from 2 weeks, to 30 days to now 8 weeks to arrive. NONsense. Okay go call now.

Oh boy....... Just got off the phone with USCIS. They said my case had in fact been shipped to the NVC and they no longer have jurisdiction over the case and that it could take up to 90 days to be recieved. Also she sounded like she was reading from a TelePrompTer. Seems like another long waiting process. I'll call NVC again tomorrow. Sigh. :(

Hey all, I don't have my NOA2 yet, but I have been transferred to NSC last month, so I am trying to prepare everything for the NVC stage, and while I am filling out the I-864 I have a couple of questions on what to put.

on the first page it is split in two columns and on the right hand column it is asking for the mailing address, is this the beneficiary's mailing address or the petitioner's?

on Part 6 it asks for the sponsor's annual income, I was wondering if I will put the income I filed in my taxes for the last year, or if I can put the estimated income for this year, and include a letter of employment from my US based job. in 2013 I was living in the US for only about 4 months and I moved back to Mexico to be with my wife and kids during the process, so the income on my tax forms is lower than what I will be making once I live in the US, I have secured a job in the US for when this whole process is complete.

Thank you all for the advice and guidance I have recieved from this forum, I am truly grateful for finding this site!

On the first page it is asking for the info for the principal immigrant which would be the beneficiary. On the 3rd page it asks for the info for the sponsor which is you. And someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure you can't estimate anything in reference to income. They are asking for PROOF of income. Good luck.

Hi guys,

Just got off the phone with NVC and I have a question.

I completed the online DS 261 of Dec. 30- the NVC accepted in on January 3rd as told by the NVC operator. When I asked when to expect the IV fee to post they said I would have to wait up to 3 weeks, is this accurate? What has everyone else been waiting after submitting the DS 261 for IV bill to post?

Thanks,
