yay ! remember - paying stuff is fine without the GZO # - but wait till you have the GZO # to submit stuff. I THINK IT'S OK on the DS-261, I'm not certain, to submit it prior to conversion.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

A quick question: at which stage we have to send in the bona fide marriage documentations? I read from the above that someone is sending them with the IV package. Is this mandatory? I cant seem to find any info on it.

I just sent off the OPTIN email, thanks for the reminder!

I sent NVC a email to OPTIN but i only put our case number in the subject line and not the word OPTIN before the number. When I call they do read both mine and my husbands emails to me. Does this mean I am opted in?? The mail I sen to them was this.

USCIS:
4/11: Mailed out IR-30 via FedEx Ground
4/15: Forms received by USCIS Chicago (Signed)

12/2: Case Transferred to CSC

12/17/2013: NOA-2!!!! (8 Months, 2 days)

NVC:

12/27/2013: Case received by NVC

1/23/2014: NVC Case #, BIN, & IIN received.

1/31/2014: DS-261 Available & filled out.

2/4/2014: AOS Invoice available & paid

2/7/2014: I-864(AOS) completed & sent

2/11/2014: IV Bill availiable and paid.

2/14/2014: DS-260 completed (IV)

2/14/2014: DS-260 support documents sent

2/26/2014: I-864 (AOS) documents received and logged by NVC.

3/4/2014: Checklist for AOS ( I knew it :|a)

3/5/2014: Checklist for AOS submitted

3/7/2014: DS-260 documents received & logged by NVC

3/13/2014: IV packet + documents approved and logged

4/14:2014: Case Complete!!! (3 months 2 weeks 4 days @NVC)

Okay thanks!

So to get my NVC number I just call everyday, right? and I need to have on hand my USCIS receipt number? Just tried to talk to someone and the wait was over half an hour ( I have a meeting in 5, cant stay on the phone that long).

1/15/2013 - Married

USCIS:
4/11: Mailed out IR-30 via FedEx Ground

Called NVC today - still don't have my file. They mentioned the 8 week timeline, but suggested I call back next week. The person was pleasant and did not seem at all bothered that I was calling to check in. Nice change from some of the people at USCIS. :)

It is not mandatory to send relationship evidence to the NVC. If you choose to do so, it would be sent with the IV package.

I think you're getting confused between opting into EP and simply receiving emails from NVC (instead of snail mail).

By providing emails over the phone, that just lets NVC email correspondence to you. It has nothing to do with EP (which allows you to send packages to them by email). Have you not read my wiki yet? It's linked in my signature below and I highly suggest you read it if you want to do EP. You'll have to send another email (to the appropriate email address) with 'OPTIN' as the first word in the subject line.

Well just called NVC.. Wait 30 business days to see if I'm missing anything... So I guess 1-30-14 plus addition days the office was closed for holidays and weather.. This wait just seems like a enternity!!

I am in the same boat. I received my NOA 2 on December 13 from Texas SC and still no update on the website. It seems like the time in between all of these hoops we have to jump through keep getting longer. Maybe I just miss my wife so damn much.

I just recieved the email stating that. So your saying I should call them. Ugh!!! I thought I was done with those fools! :(
