Hi all! Does NVC always know "when" our case (the mail) has physically arrived from USCIS? I've been wondering because after we got approved last Dec.11, USCIS sent us an email on Dec.12 that they have shipped it already to DOS-NVC. But I've seen some who were approved after us and NVC confirmed that their files arrived already but still not on their system but ours hasn't even arrived yet. Worries me a bit, I supposed.

I also have the same issue with my wife's NBI it will expire 20th Feb 2014, just wondering if we can send an attach letter in the IV packet explaining to the NVC

that the I-130 packet has sat at the USCIS for nearly 9 months waiting for NOA2 approval and that she will produce an updated NBI clearance at the time of her interview in Manila. Still haven't received case# are IIN# from NVC, My NOA2 was approved 6 DEC at the NSC, just called them yesterday, so there's know telling how much longer this process will drag on. Just trying to safe the expense of mailing documents and the chance they could get lost in the mail system. If anyone else has been down this road before, could you please advise what we should do in this situation.

6 Dec 2013 - NOA2 approved

6 Jan 2014 - NOA2 at NVC

4 Feb 2014 - NVC Case#/IIN# received

11 Feb 2014 - Paid AOS Fees

11 Feb 2014 - Submitted DS-261

17 Feb 2014 - AOS Fee shows Paid

19 Feb 2014 - Mailed AOS Packet2014

19 Feb 2014 - NVC sent email DS-261 Complete

20 Feb 2014- NVC Received AOS Packet

23 Feb 2014 - IV invoiced

28 Feb 2014 - IV Fees show Paid

4 Mar 2014 - Completed DS-260 Online

5 Mar 2014 - Mailed IV documents

7 Mar 2014 - NVC Received IV Packet

13 Mar 2014 - Received AOS Checklist

15 Mar 2014 - Replied to AOS Checklist

17 Mar 2014 - NVC Received AOS Checklist

20 Mar 2014 - NVC Scanned AOS

1 Apr 2014 - Case Completed, 1 year to the day from date NOA1 was Submitted

4 Apr 2014 - Received P-4 Letter via email from NVC

23 Mar 2014 - Medical Appointment

8 May 2014 - Interview Appointment

8 May 2014- Visa Approved !!

I plan to get new one. since we don't have case number yet. but is there a NVC number that we can dial for inquiry regarding ( Police Records)? I read on the u.s embassy manila website that "NBI CLEARANCE (Green Form): Applicants aged 16 years and older must have a valid Record Clearance (for travel abroad purposes) from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). Clearances should be in the applicant’s current name, birth certificate name, maiden name, married name, and any aliases or nicknames ever used, including different spellings of all names ever used. An official letter of explanation from the NBI is required for any notation of “No criminal record”, or "No pending case”. For immigration purposes, an NBI clearance is considered valid only for one year from the date it is issued. " I wonder if NVC will consider that statement from U.S Embassy manila website.

Do you mean the tax return transcripts? If so, in all the cases I or my husband requested them, they arrived within 2 weeks.

Since you're not from an EP-eligible country, they can't be scanned. You'll have to send the photos by mail, along with all the other IV package documents needed.

Happy New Year and Good luck everyone ..

I finally got home and read my NOA2..In the first paragraph, It reads that they sent a cable to the consulate listed above to notify them of the approval of the petition. But there's no consulate listed above..So what does this mean?

On the back of my NOA2, it reads if this notice indicated we are notifying U.S. Consulate about the approval for visa issuance, and you or the person you have filed for have questions about visa issuance, please contact the appropiate U.S. Consulate directly..

Thanks for any insights..
