Hi Darnell!

Thanks for your reply and for the information. My lawyer have requested USCIS to transfer case to NVC immediately. Per the USCIS, me and/or my lawyer's office should be receiving a "Notice of Action" stating that the file has been transferred to the NVC within three (3) weeks. How sure is that?

Or regardless of that, should I just talk or contact ILS human?

Huh? 2012 tax year still current for NVC and the IV Units, until after 15 April 2014.

What's up ?

'receive return from IRS' - that's 2 or 3 weeks electronically, or 8 to 10 weeks if a paper return. IF she is relying on tax year 2013 data, she needs to send a full copy of the return, all of the stuff she submitted to the IRS, and NOT anything else. She's already submitted stuff to the IRS for TAx Year 2013, so she will submit a full copy of what she sent in to the IRS.

She made copies, right? If electronic, she can reprint from the provider's software, easily.

Wow, thanks for your speedy and very helpful reply.

We know 2012 are accetable as the lastest year but she doesnt have one for 2010 so she figured she might as well just get up to date without realising the timings etc.

So let me understand this properly... She does not have to wait for IRS to confirm the return and she can just send in what she filed as 2013?

Would it be ok to send 2011, 2012 and what she has filed for 2013 (without actually hearing back from IRS)

Again, thank you for your help.

Hi all

I wondered if anyone could shed any light on a concern I have. It's pretty specific so I'm not sure if anyone will know. Basically, both AOS and IV fees have been paid. I (the principal applicant) have my IV pack ready to send to NVC. Now, my wife cannot send her AOS pack until she recieves her 2013 tax return from IRS. She has already requested it but they are not starting processing these until Friday (31st). Does anyone on the off chance know typically how long it takes IRS to complete this process? I am worried that we will be waiting for the 2013 tax return to come back for weeks! ;-(. Timing sucks really bad as I am ready to go with the IV pack and we really wanted an interview date for March!

If anyone knows how long it takes for IRS to file the tax return that would be great.

Many thanks

If you file your taxes online; IRS accepts your return within 48 hours provided there are no issues. Once accepted you could use the tax return.

I do not know how soon tax transcript will show up online.

You could also go with 2012 taxes ( 2013 isn't mandatory until April 2014) if you meet the income requirements.

Good Luck

So this is my first post here. Thought I'd never get here but am thankful as so many who filed before us are still waiting, thinking of LoveMyTico especially. <3. I know we should wait for at least a week before calling NVC for our case no, hopefully this process goes smoothly, it all seems so complicated. But have all our documents gathered up and ready to go. Have been reading all the info by Saylin, and LingChe's shortcut advice. So good luck everyone.

Great! Congrats on your NOA2 approval!

Urrr - got case # and IIN a week ago, and still not able to get to DS-261 online. We keep checking both through Firefox on my Mac and through IE on hubby's PC, but nothing. I called NVC this morning to just check that I hadn't missed anything, and of course the operator tells me that I won't be able to do that until I get the e-mail with AOS instructions. The official line is that it takes 5-10 business days for that, so I guess I'm waiting another week.

Has anyone noticed whether there is a specific pattern to those folks whose forms were available right away as soon as the case number was done? Is that more standard for EP than for non-EP? Or is just a ####### shoot?

I know that we've waiting long enough now that a few more days shouldn't seem like a big deal, but I want this to get moving soooo badly!

Hello. Just an update. My husband's I-130 was approved on Sept. 30,2013 then no mail from NVC that they received it. Last week I called NVC regarding the case and they told me its not sent to them yet and to request for a search. Called USCIS the same day spoke with officer and he told me he will just submit a request to search for the case. Then yesterday my lawyer received a response from NVC regarding my husband's case. Unfortunately, they informed that the file was sent to the San Fernando Valley Field Office. What do I do to get USCIS transfer the file to NVC IMMEDIATELY?? I need this petition going since we've waited 11 months for this petition to get approved and now I'm having this problem. Pls. Help!

omg i am really so sorry you are going through this :(

I can see why they're getting confused. Looking at the shortcut, it looks like you do both.

You mean the two tracks? Yes, of course you have to do both of them. If they're not both done, then no case complete.

Hi to all!

My daughters' case got transfered last January 9..and mine got transfered last January 24.. My question is do i have to wait for them to contact us to get the new case number or vice versa.. And what do i have to include when sending them an email inquiry about our case? Thanks for your future responses!

XXX

kriss

If you wait for them to contact you, it could take months as they'll have to snail mail you. It's best to call them every now and then, so that when the case number is assigned, you can give over email addresses, so they correspond with you by email (shaving off weeks from snail mail). Skip the email, call them instead. It's much, much, much faster. All you'll need on the phone is the USCIS receipt number.

Well then headbonk.gif Wonder why DOS decided to do this...

in a way, you've paraphrased what I wrote about a copy of what was filed for 2013.

That's good, tells me yer on the right track.

as to yer question. NO to the first part, and YES! to the second part, and YES to the 3rd part.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
