Im confused..Do we need to use 2013 tax for the AOS..if ever we use the 2012, and then our interview would be later than april 15, Do we need to bring along the 2013 tax..Im really confused on this.. please lend me a light..

No. You do not need to include 2013 tax information on the AOS until after April 15th, 2014. If the interview is after April 15th, 2014, even if you have submitted the AOS, it is a good idea to send a new, updated AOS to the beneficiary to take to the interview.

Waw so people are getting checklists after a whole month of waiting!?SMH

30 business days is how long they may need to review the documents so yes it is possible to get a checklist after a month. In reality 30 business days is about a month and a half of normal time.

Have you checked in on the interview thread to see approximately how long it is taking to book interviews for your country? I dont think there are many from there so Dwheels might remember some from futher back as well. Each country takes a different amount of time to book for interviews (some are the next month, others takes 6 months.)

Just for you (now that you have the case numbers and have given over the email addresses):

-Pay the AOS bill on the payment portal (once it becomes available)

-Fill out and submit the DS-261 on the online forms portal (once it becomes available)

-Once the AOS bill shows as PAID, snail mail the AOS package

-Pay the IV bill on the payment portal (once it becomes available [after the DS-261 is accepted and added to the case file])

-Once the IV bill shows as PAID, snail mail the IV package

-Fill out and submit the DS-260 on the online forms portal (once it becomes available [after the IV bill shows as PAID])

-Respond to any checklists (if applicable)

-Wait for case complete

Ta-da!

Thank you so so so much!

We are finally at the NVC stage and submitted all paperwork. Awaiting a interview date. I am pretty sure my husband will be denied a Visa because he will probably require a immigrant waiver (I-601). Are we going to have to file this at USCIS and wait another 11 months for this stupid waiver or can we beg and plead to do it at the Embassy in Montreal?? I cant wait another year:((((

i hope can someone enlighten me or help me with my problem. i filed spousal i-130 for my husband on october 23, 2012... got approved on sept. 30, 2013. its been almost 4 months after the noa2/approval noticed, i have called nvc last week regarding this matter and they told me to submit a search through email. no response yet from nvc through email. i also called uscis and spoke with an officer and they said they will search and find out what is going on and they will just mail a letter in response to my inquiry by feb 8 or after feb 8. i called nvc again today asked regarding the approved petition and told me to just wait. now i have been patiently waiting to get my husbands petition to get approved which took almost a year for me to get the noa2. then i have to wait for more than expected time for nvc. i am getting impatient and i don't know what to do anymore. i just wished someone can help me with my problem or at least give me some advice on what to do just to ease my mind. :'(((

Hi Can someone out here shed some light on the IB1 Visa Category? My case was received by NVC on the 16th of this month. Still waiting for the case and IIN number. I am little confused on the I 864 part. As I am both the petitioner and the beneficiary how would I complete the I 864?

Any help would be great. Ty

Most timelines on VJ shows that NVC is working preeety consistently. However, its a goverment baranch afterall, so who knows. Its definitely not 10 days, but somewhere around 20-25 business days. Moreover, we lost one business day to MLK and probably one to bad weather in up North.

You need to be calling the USCIS and finding out exactly where your petition is. Sounds like it was sent to the NRC instead of the NVC. Also contact your congressman and get them on this as well.
