Hi Saylin,

I got a case number and IIN# assigned 01/17/14. On average, how many days does it take for fees to be invoiced? Its already been 10 days..damn wait is getting old now.

I'm not sure where you're getting 10 days from, but it's only been 5 business days. I'm not sure of the current time frames; look at people's timelines here in this thread.

Just to make sure though, you're logging into the payment portal on IE, right? Not any other browser?

A quick question for Saylin plz or anyone who has an idea... Based on what what I was reading in this thread I see most people were getting some types of checklists false or correct... That I started to wonder if it's normal that we didn't get one as of today ( 20 days since packages received by nvc)?

I never got a checklist, false or a real one. It's better to not get a checklist IMO :P

What do the operators say on the status of your packages when you've been calling?

I was counting consecutive days, not business days. Looking at some timelines, its 10-15 business days i guess.

And yes, using IE.

Thanks!

NVC doesn't work on weekends :P So always count business days for these things ;)

No, the DS-3032 is no longer used (email or paper form). To select an agent, the online DS-261 is used. This should be available in the forms portal within a few business days.

Nope, the UK is not one of the eligible countries for EP. You can only snail mail the two packages.

Just re-read the first two posts a couple of times, and you'll soon understand the process. If it would help, try writing down the steps YOU need to take. I did this on Post-It notes and stuck them on my wall above my computer. Helped greatly smile.png Or, print out the guides/posts and highlight the stuff that pertains to you. I did this as well.

Thanks Saylin. I guess I just want a guide just for me to make my life easier haha tongue.png I started a list on my desktop now though, and we will just approach it step by step...

Next step, DS-261 form (once it's ready.)

Next step, DS-261 form (once it's ready.)

Just for you (now that you have the case numbers and have given over the email addresses):

-Pay the AOS bill on the payment portal (once it becomes available)

-Fill out and submit the DS-261 on the online forms portal (once it becomes available)

-Once the AOS bill shows as PAID, snail mail the AOS package

-Pay the IV bill on the payment portal (once it becomes available [after the DS-261 is accepted and added to the case file])

-Once the IV bill shows as PAID, snail mail the IV package

-Fill out and submit the DS-260 on the online forms portal (once it becomes available [after the IV bill shows as PAID])

-Respond to any checklists (if applicable)

-Wait for case complete

Ta-da!

I called into NVC today and they notified me that i will be receiving a checklist for AOS package. Section 6 we put total annual income from sponsors job not the total shown on line 22 of their 2012 tax return.

This seems a little odd to me, but is this a legit checklist?

Also, will i need to send in the whole package again with evidence with a new I 864 signed by the sponsor?

Thanks,

Yes, that sounds like a legit checklist. False checklists ask for an ENTIRE package.

For the I-864 form, you have to be careful and read the instructions carefully (which is right in that question) to know what line to use:

-If 1040 tax form was filed, use total income.

-if 1040EZ tax form was filed, use adjusted gross income.

Keep in mind, depending on the situation, different tax return forms could be filed in the three years, so make sure you check each year on which form was filed. For example, perhaps in 2010, 1040 was used, but in 2011, 1040EZ was used. So for the 2010 tax year, you'd use total income, but in 2011, you'd use adjusted gross income.

And no, you don't need to send in the entire package. Just send in a corrected I-864 form, signed and dated.
