i have a quick question,

the DS-261 is ready to be filled out, I (petitioner) will be filling it out for my spouse. On page 2 (i looked at the screenshot's in post 1)

would that would be my spouse's information i am suppose to fill in there?

until it says do you wish to appoint an agent then i will put my information there on page 4 correct?

STILL waiting for a case number here... I am trying not to get confused with all the info above until we get that sacred number and then can move forwards again!

Ugh. What a long wait! Are you beyond 20 business days since they received your case?

NVC say they received it on 30th Dec, so excluding Christmas/New Year it makes today business day 19... here's hoping we get it this week. I never wanted to pay a bill so much in my life!

USCIS (239 days):

04.18.2013 - NOA1

12.13.2013 - NOA2 via email; I-130 approved. Shipped to NVC

NVC (274 days):

12.30.2013 - Arrived at NVC

01.27.2014 - Received case no. & IIN

02.07.2014 - Completed & submitted DS-261 form online

02.13.2014 - Paid AOS bill

02.18.2014 - AOS showing as 'paid'

03.18.2014 - Invoiced for IV bill (finally!)

03.19.2014 - Made payment for IV bill

03.21.2014 - IV bill showing PAID

03.24.2014 - Completed DS-260 online

03.29.2014 - Mailed IV Packet

04.26.2014 - IV packet all approved, false checklist from NVC for AOS packet

same here. our case arrived same day Jan. 13... and still waiting for case number.

Our file was received also on nvc on the 13th..still waiting for case number..i assume this week or maybe next week based on average timelines on members here...

Im confused..Do we need to use 2013 tax for the AOS..if ever we use the 2012, and then our interview would be later than april 15, Do we need to bring along the 2013 tax..Im really confused on this.. please lend me a light..

Just called NVC and they are saying or at least the one who I got on the phone told me it'll take 30 days now. Last friday and the weeks before it was only 10 to 20 business days to get a case number. I don't want to think that the backlog from USCIS will follow suit through NVC but yeah..where else will the cases from NBC get through next other than NVC. Can't wait for all this to be over. ugh.

When I called a little while ago they told me 10-20 business days. So, yeah, who knows.

I think she told me 30 days because our case have been received January 3rd and it's over the "alleged" 10 to 20 business day wait.

Kinda in a panic mode now. I wonder if NVC stands by their rule of giving case number in 10 to 20 business days. Are there anybody who had to wait 30 or 50 days for a case number?
