Hi all I was approved on jan 22 ... But now when I check my case status it's say on jan 24 your address was changed and my status back to initial review ... What's that mean !!! My case transferred to the NVC or what ??? Please some info

Did u already call uscis and ask about it? I dont think it was transferred coz theres nowhere in that sentence that says it was transferred. Best way to know is by calling uscis. Ask for a tier 2 or a supervisor.

hi,

could you please help me out to clarify this?

I was unemployed last year but I started to work at the end of the year, my total annual income including the unemployment was 19,358. To meet the minimum requirement for the AOS is 19,387, I am short for about $30. Do I need a join sponsor?

Thank you for your time.

I called NVC today, and I was told they gave us a case complete on 1/22/14, but didn't receive any email notification. She stated its in line to get an interview set up. Anyone know how quickly I should expect an interview date for Bosnia?

Congrats! Start your research here for Bosnia: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?cfl=0&op1=3&op2=d&op3=5&op4=1&op5=5,6,8,10,11,13,14,15,16,17,18,20,21,22,25,26,27,28,108,110,111,208,210,211&op6=All&op66=All&op7=Bosnia/Herzegovina&dfile=No&adv=

Got my case number today finally, yay!

So I sent the OPT IN email, and I can't do anything else until I get my invoice for the bill, and until they let me into the portal to submit the DS 261, right?

Also, at what point do I submit all the stuff the Montreal guide had me prep before hand? IE: my husbands birth certificate.

Yes. Keep an eye on the payment portal now for the AOS bill and keep an eye on the online forms portal for the DS-261 to become available.

The beneficiary's documents (aka the IV package) is sent after the IV bill has been paid. Me thinks it's time to review my wiki ;)

The hits keep on coming!

1) I received a cover sheet in the email today, which appears to have been triggered by submitting the DS-260. It says, "We received your Immigrant Visa Application; however, we have not received an Affidavit of Support." Well, I did send the AOS package last week; I presume then that they just haven't gotten around to processing the AOS, and I should ignore this notice?

2) I presume also that I should not use this coversheet for the IV package, but the one from the website when the DS-260 was submitted? The barcode is the same, but the address is slightly different. (DS-260 coversheet has "Attn: CMR" whereas this coversheet has "Attn: DR".)

3) Korea does not have birth certificates. What they have are "Identification certificates" which show date and place of birth, and "certificates of family relations" which show your parentage (and spouses). I think the combination of these two documents are sufficient as a substitute for a Western-style birth certificate that shows all the info, but does anyone here have any more information?

Thank you!

1. Do you mean a checklist? If so, it's likely a false checklist based on them reviewing (and accepting) your DS-260. Call up to confirm!

2. Doesn't matter which you use.

3. Read the requirements here: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country/KS.html#docs

And most importantly: read the first two posts!! I'd say like 90% of questions here can be answered by simply READING yes.gif

This is a nice find! I did not think to look on the page for reciprocity fees; you could do this professionally :)

Oh, and indeed, it was a false checklist.

No you can send the ENROLL email as soon as you have the numbers. I would do that since it takes a few weeks and you can't send any documents until that's been approved.

Its been one month today since I received the hard copy of NOA2, still the NVC doesn't have my case in their system. Its getting harder again. Waiting is really hard. Specially if you miss your husband very much.. Help me pray.. please.. :'(

Hi there. We have the same NVC received date. I read somewhere that it takes around 20 days approx to get case # from the date NVC receives our file. We are almost there. Hopefully we will get our case # next week.

My husband called yesterday at the NVC and finally we got our case number. He asked for the Invoice number as well but the person at NVC told him we can't use it until we get an update from them.

We called our laywer and the paralegal just told us to wait for the NVC. How long does it normally take after we get the case number to finally go to the next step?

NVC received our case last Dec. 24 but they told us they just started processing it in January 21.
