I'm sorry if this is a repeat question, I tried to search the forums archives but recieved an error message that the "admin enabled flood control". I understand that my income has to be enough to support my fiance when he comes here, but I've read that if I have been on state assistance, he might not get approved. I had the same job for over 10 years, but in February my postition was terminated. I didn't get fired or quit, the job I did was terminated. So I was unemployed for 4 months. After finding the job I have now, it was hard getting back on my feet. I had to turn to welfare to pay some shut off notices and put my children on Medicaid. My house payments have been behind, and to avoid foreclosure I might have to file bankruptcy. I'm going to talk to a credit councelor in a few weeks, but I wanted to know if anyone knows how this will effect our case? I have co-sponsors, but I read that it might not matter to the embassy if I've been on state assistance. Anyone here know anything about that?

i think you could use a co-sponsor...i've seen it happen in manila.
