You will get it by mail, then you can use the receipt number on your NOA 1 to get updates on your petition on the uscis website.

Hi guys. Just submit our I-130 last week, will we be getting the NOA1 via email or mail???

If you sent in the G1145 you may get the text and email notification they receivedit. Thats just if they received it. The actual NOA1 notice is snail mail expect it within 30 days.

Keep an eye on your money order or check that is the trigger to know they got it all fine. Once you get your NOA1 go to the USCIS.gov website and register your receipt number (probably will start wilh a MSC) and then you can monitor your petition.

Note it will stay in "Initial Review" until either you get a RFE (Request for evidence....not good ) or an approval.

Case Complete to Interview spreadsheet

From now on your VJ Member name will be verified. If the name you put on form to be added to spreadsheet comes up not found, you will not be added to the spreadsheet. If you don't have a timeline you will not be added to the spreadsheet.

March 26, 2009: We become a couple!
September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!
June 21, 2010: Engaged!!!
September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

@dwheels76 why is a RFE not good?

It means delays first. Also means a mistake was made or something forgotten. Of course for those who didn't supply any evidence its good news thats their second chance to do it right. I guess for most after sitting for months and months imagine 8 or 10 months and finally someone is looking at your petition and whammo RFE it could have been approved if all information was there. So thats why I said bad thing. and iyt couuld delay you weeks or months you never know.

@Dwheels76 when you submit the I-130 form which is the first initial form what do you send with it? do they ask for original birth cert and marriage certs?

USCIS doesn't require Originals just photocopies. Originals are for NVC.
