Pls VJ members, I went online to schedule my k1 visa interview appointment but found out that the first available appointment date is wednesday March 26, 2014, but my application will expire on February 14 2014. What do I do to get a date before the expiry date? Am so confused and worried. Pls reply as soon as possible. Thanks.

I was worried about this for my interview date too, but was told that all i would need, if my interview was past my application date, was a new Intent to Marry letter from my Fiance

That's true in the UK. Others will automatically extend the date. Someone who knows the Nigerian embassy will need to weigh in.

November 14th, 2013: She's here!

December 12th, 2013: Picked up marriage license.

December 14th, 2013: Wedding

Book the first available appointment and then send email to the consulate noting that no booking were available until whatever date and request that they extend your petitions validity until that date. ( they should do this automatically ) be sure to keep a copy of their response

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Same thing happened to us in Lagos. I just emailed them and explained that short and sweet. They replied and said it was ok. I suggest you do the same. Put your LG case number in the subject line. Include new of beneficiary and us citizen. Best wishes.

Suppose to say *names not *new
