I'm an American and my wife is Filipino and we are living in South Korea. I'm an English teacher and she is a stay at home mom with our 5 month old daughter. We've been married for almost 3 years. We waited until our 2nd anniversary to start her IR petition. She had her interview back in November and they gave us the blue 221g form because the hospital wanted her to come back and do the sputum test. It took 8 weeks but we finally got the results back and everything is fine. She is going back on January 8 to bring the results to the embassy. Does anyone have experience on how long it will take now to get her visa once they have all the paperwork? I've looked elsewhere and it says it could take as short as one week or several months. I'm hoping that someone has had a similar experience and can give me an estimate on how long we should expect to wait. Our visas in Korea are contingent upon my employment and our current visas will expire at the end of March 2014. Thanks so much and hope everyone has a great New Year!
