Hello,

I am considering whether or not to move soon to a different address, would this cause any delay or be frowned upon by having a new address on the G-325A? I have about 5 other addresses listed from where I lived before. Is it better to have a longer term current address?

If I submit the initial K-1 package, then move, would a change of address form delay the process at all?

Thanks for help on these questions.

Showing short time at an address on the G-325A is not a problem.

Moving while the case is in process at USCIS can cause problems, it is difficult to get them to change your address, and important items like NOA1, and NOA2 will not be forwarded by the post office.

If you do plan on moving use an address like a parents home as your home address for them to send things like that.

It is a big deal to move while filing because the USCIS mail WILL NOT FORWARD. So, if you have an RFE or any other notice you may not find out about it for a while. Especially if you move after you filed, but before you received your NOA1. I did this and you are SOL until you either intercept the NOA1 at your old address or you have to wait 30 days before you can even inquire about it. Because, until you get NOA1 you won't know what your case number is (unless you use a personal check, in which case the number should be stamped on the cancelled check). So, it's kind of a catch 22....How can you make a change of address unless you know the case number you are changing. Make sense???

Reply directly to me if you have any questions, I went through this myself.
